Re: New UNLOCKABLE Sprint ROM?

I got the same question today when I update my DIAMOND to the latest sprint rom. In tri color screen, got the SPL-0.64 ver. My solution is: copy the sspl-manual.exe to the device and run it from device. Started 0.43 OMEX spl. then flash the extracted 0.57SSPL.

Re: New UNLOCKABLE Sprint ROM?

Reading the unlocker thread will do you no good. The new sprint rom has some sort of new protection in it. I unlocked 3 brand new phones today with the old sprint rom to flash them over to cricket with no problems. The 4th phone had the newest sprint rom and it gives the same error other people are reporting. So with this its not possible that anything is wrong with my setup as the 3 phones with the older stock roms worked fine.

You also cant flash another rom while in boot loader as it disables the usb connection while in the bootloader or something to that effect as I just get a rom update failed.

Looks like sprint is catching on.

Re: New UNLOCKABLE Sprint ROM?

I've found that my diamond required a different driver for connection in bootloader mode, so unplug your diamond from puter, put it in bootloader mode then plug it in and see if windows loads a new driver.

Re: New UNLOCKABLE Sprint ROM?

i flashed sprint rom2.00.651.7 got link right from sprints site to htc. Thought this was the latest official sprint rom. But it did not lock me out from reflashing another rom after. I hope its not a new form of protection they are using. I know i would never get this phone if it was still stock. Everytime i try to use it with stock reminds me how close i was to returning it. Even with new rom picture mail wont work text are sent slow with the annoying message sent alert, and battery seems to drain so much faster only got about 4 hrs with the same use i get 8 hrs from on other roms.

That's what I had to do to mine. Launch the "manual" bootloader and run the unlocking utility.

So, does this mean that if we are already unlocked before upgrading to the new Sprint Stock Maintenance release that we will probably be okay and be able to stay unlocked?

not sure but thats what happened with me. I remember when i had first tried flashing the leaked test rom it automatically locked the phone. But just ran the unlocking process and it worked fine after.
