Ok, so I simply install hardspl for easy way out (if it's working with my spl) and then I flash with a rom I like from the forum (or elsewhere but I'm more in sticking with those in the forums). Also, you saif that there's no rom in dev that write radio, but I've read a rom update on the forum that update radio (unless it's from xda for gsm).

the only radio i've seen for the diamond is for the GSM version (found on XDA)
this site is primarily CDMA, thus i will clarify... my prev statement is for CDMA only

Ok, and the thread about PRL (http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=39062) is more like the list of antenna/satellite the phone can use, thus the more there is, the better connection you have.

Thanks a lot and sorry if I'm bothering you with all those question.

You don't need any ROM, just settings in the epst.

what i think tobey meant to say is that it doesnt matter what ROM you have on the device, what matters is that you have [insert carrier] activate the ESN/device and then you need to program the device parameters (EPST settings) to allow it to authenticate with said carrier.

hehe, you do need a working ROM on the device

basically your SPL = bootloader.

like tobey said relocking is putting your SPL back to factory,
while unlocking is putting an SPL made by cmonex that allows u to flash custom ROMs
there is no reason to relock, except for return/repair
