Sorry to hear about the loss of your Diamond and thanks for updating the ROM anyways.

I had a problem with a intermittent charging on my Diamond a few months ago and Sprint initially wanted to replace it with a Hero. I refused and tried another store making the case: 1) I had purchased a lot of software from the Windows Marketplace (this was an exaggeration); 2) the software required a touchscreen 3) the Diamond was a top of the line phone at release. A comparable phone needed to be a Windows Mobile phone with a touchscreen that was a top of the line full featured product. They ultimately got me a Touch Pro which I sold and bought a used Diamond with some $ left over. Just a couple weeks ago the vibrate on the Diamond died and they replaced it with a new Diamond, saying they still had Diamonds for order... Any chance you would consider giving Sprint another try.

Believe me, I tried the very best I could to get them to budge. My arguments were similar, in that the Diamond was superior to everything they offered me (with the BIG selling point being the high resolution screen), and that I had WinMo-specific software I used and needed for work. Nevertheless, they wouldn't offer me anything except the Hero. I specifically asked over and over for the Diamond or TP, but they claimed that there was no more stock of either and that they weren't going to get any in as it's too old of a phone. Tried for a TP2 for kicks, but they flat out said no.

My Hero arrives today, so it's too late anyways to try again.

Just a quick comment on my ROM... man, the versions without Co0kie's Home Tab are FLYING! I have literally never seen my bros Diamond work this fast before. It's well worth a try if you can live without CHT's features (always a tradeoff heh)


EDIT: Just got my Hero, and now Sprint wants me to change my plan to activate it (without telling me first wtf). That's definitely NOT going to happen. Going to be an interesting ride... maybe they'll finally dig up a Diamond for me

EDIT2: Heh getting a Touch Pro 2 instead

Nice on getting the TP2. Yeah, all android devices require one of their everything plans. Worked out in your favor...maybe I should try the same since I don't want to get rid of my legacy plan either .

cesium, I really like your ROM, I'm chinese user, here is a big question for me

So far As I know, not all the English ROM can support Chinese PinYin Seek in dial panel or contacts

As my understanding, to get this support we need to

1. replace the wince.nls which contain Chinese region.

2. edit tapres.dll.0409.mui and outres.dll.0409.mui

the first step can easy make a cab to do it, but the second one is locked the ROM, cannot replace after the ROM finished need digital signed

I’m not a ROM make, so I really don’t know how to edit the two 0409 files

But I can say, I have test almost all the English ROM, currently only Leo(L26) and Dutty’s ROM can support my request

I hope cesium ROM can see this and can make your ROM internationalization

I'm not getting autocomplete in To: boxes for text/email and such. I'm using the full no cookie mod rom. Current release.

Hm, never even noticed this. Looks to be happening on both the cookie/no cookies ROMs, so has to be something with the sys. Do you know if it worked before 1.8? The one thing that could be causing it is Kimi's people messaging mod, and I added that in 1.8.

EDIT: Also possible that the updated HTCScroll or Message Enhancement or Contact Picker got rid of it. I'll be cooking another ROM soon reverting these packages to their older versions to see what happens.

tapres.dll.0804: replace 0409 file
after that, it will appear Chinese region and can support Chinese PinYin Seek

It worked on 1.7 and 1.8 as far as I remember.

If it did work on 1.8, then it's definitely due to a new package. I'll experiment some.
