Re: Sprint HTC TP2 and Family Plan

I find that there is a solution for most of us. If we have been on a plan for a long time or fresh in. I agree... go in to a store and ask for a lead. They usually have some discount codes that they can apply. And they can reccomend a plan that works for YOU. Good luck bro.

if the data is still showing on your plan webpage then you've got it. you should be able to 'update profile' to get it working again. if it fails, try a ##RTN# > menu > reset, then update profile again.
i did this and it worked for me thanks.....didnt tell me it whips your phone to factory settings though....

Re: Sprint HTC TP2 and Family Plan

Sprint supposed to have stopped extending contracts upon changing plans. If I'm not mistaken, a change of service and/or pricing which you deem to be considered "materially adverse to you" (should be in subscriber's agreement) should get you OUT of your contract with no ETF. However, if you want to stay with Sprint...that is what you can use to leverage retentions/cancellations/account services to keep your current plan as is...without having to be forced to upgrade.

a little video from the Consumerist talks about this exact thing, but it was from sometime ago...so use this tactic at your own risk.

Re: Sprint HTC TP2 and Family Plan

Sprint is having net problems today. On a side note, they can pry my data plan from my cold, dead fingers if they want it, because a phone "not supporting" a data plan is absolutely untrue and I'll take it up with my state's AG.

Internet is supposed to get cheaper over time, not more expensive.

I called Sprint and they are telling me that it's because of my plan and forcing me to upgrade to one of the Everything Plans. I'm very reluctant and not sure if I want to believe that. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.
That's so funny! that happened to me this morning too! only it started working again after soft resting my phone. I figured it was due to leavein the phone as modem all night or something.

Re: Sprint HTC TP2 and Family Plan

Thank you all for your recommendations. ##RTN# did not work, but ##DATA# worked after hard reset. Thank you again, I'm back in business. This just reinforces my opinion of the poor customer support at Sprint, or lack there of.
