The best solution would be a cell repeater. They are costly but, wrk with multiple carriers and also extend the internet connection. The AIRAVE is, I believe, Sprint specific. Oter cariers may have something similar. This is something tha you have to call sprint when you have it all hooked up and have them activate it for you. It only works on the phone capabilities and GPS. It does nothing for the internet connection on the phone.

Re: Free Sprint AIRAVE + Monthly fee waived

I've tried talking with Sprint numerous times because I have this same issue with signal quality and they refuse to provide me a free airwave. I repeatedly tell them that I get dropped calls in my home and don't feel I should have to pay additional costs because their service is bad in and 50 around my home on all 4 of my lines. I can walk a block away and I get full bars. In my home I sometimes roam.

Everything up until the last sentence is correct. Basic airave service is 4.99/mo but this pulls from your monthly bucket of minutes just like any other call. Unlimited service within airave coverage is 14.99 for a single line and 24.99 for a family plan.

Re: Free Sprint AIRAVE + Monthly fee waived

Ya know, it was just a quick thing an op posted to get some info out to others so why don't you guy's quit complaining about the BS.If you don't like it go to a different thread. Cause even the mods from time to time put in things that could be considered wasted space.(ie.. all the news posted on homepage for one.) So if it annoys you go to another thread and quit *****in like little girls. Oh by the way God Bless.

Re: Free Sprint AIRAVE + Monthly fee waived

I got one too! for free and no monthly.

here's what i said:
  • i called the retentions number: 1-877-775-4886
  • (i live in the mountains where there is zero reception for any carrier.) but anyhow i said that my neighbor just got a verizon phone and has great reception.
  • i really didn't want to switch over to verizon.
  • i vaguely remember someone in their sprint store telling me a while back about some new technology to help my reception.
  • did they know anything about this? because i really really don't want to have to switch to verizon.

so i said all that, and she checked my records and said that because i'd been a customer since 98 they could do it all for free! and no monthly. maybe also because i'm on the unlimited plan, although she didn't mention that. ymmv.

Re: Free Sprint AIRAVE + Monthly fee waived

I happen to have an Airave device already. My friend also had one and said he would give it to me. My parents house has poor reception and I would like to place it at their house. What are the chances they would let you have two of them on one account?

As long as you are willing to pay for two, I am sure they won't care. My question is, how big is your house? I have an Airave at home as well, in a 3500+ sq. ft. house, and have coverage throughout. I even have good coverage within my entire yard (front and back, and then some. Do you really need two?

I still have my airrave sitting in the closest after I quit Sprint. Are you allowed to sell these things?
