Re: Free Sprint AIRAVE + Monthly fee waived

Agreed, can the mods move this one to a more sensible section.

Re: Free Sprint AIRAVE + Monthly fee waived

I've tried talking with Sprint numerous times because I have this same issue with signal quality and they refuse to provide me a free airwave. I repeatedly tell them that I get dropped calls in my home and don't feel I should have to pay additional costs because their service is bad in and 50 around my home on all 4 of my lines. I can walk a block away and I get full bars. In my home I sometimes roam.

Re: Free Sprint AIRAVE + Monthly fee waived

Ya know, it was just a quick thing an op posted to get some info out to others so why don't you guy's quit complaining about the BS.If you don't like it go to a different thread. Cause even the mods from time to time put in things that could be considered wasted space.(ie.. all the news posted on homepage for one.) So if it annoys you go to another thread and quit *****in like little girls. Oh by the way God Bless.

Re: Free Sprint AIRAVE + Monthly fee waived

I got one too! for free and no monthly.

here's what i said:
  • i called the retentions number: 1-877-775-4886
  • (i live in the mountains where there is zero reception for any carrier.) but anyhow i said that my neighbor just got a verizon phone and has great reception.
  • i really didn't want to switch over to verizon.
  • i vaguely remember someone in their sprint store telling me a while back about some new technology to help my reception.
  • did they know anything about this? because i really really don't want to have to switch to verizon.

so i said all that, and she checked my records and said that because i'd been a customer since 98 they could do it all for free! and no monthly. maybe also because i'm on the unlimited plan, although she didn't mention that. ymmv.

My husband and I have had AWFUL service at our house for the past 14 or so months. We had just purchased, our previous residence was awesome and we had great service. At this new house, we drop calls all the time and have one small section of our couch in our house we can sit and maybe get one bar. I called using the above information and because we are long time Sprint customers (since 2002) with an account in good standing, he offered to send us one free of charge, no monthly fee, yadda yadda yadda. I didn't even mention the technology or Airave by name. He offered it after I dropped the "I really don't want to have to switch to Verizon" bomb. That usually works. But, we honestly do have little to no reception at home and I did actually look up Verizon costs today. Glad I made the call. I hope it solves our issue.

Re: Free Sprint AIRAVE + Monthly fee waived

I happen to have an Airave device already. My friend also had one and said he would give it to me. My parents house has poor reception and I would like to place it at their house. What are the chances they would let you have two of them on one account?

As long as you are willing to pay for two, I am sure they won't care. My question is, how big is your house? I have an Airave at home as well, in a 3500+ sq. ft. house, and have coverage throughout. I even have good coverage within my entire yard (front and back, and then some. Do you really need two?
