Just to let you guys know, but when you take your device in and just say something random and they exchange it, when you device goes to the warehouse, if they cannot duplicate the issue, you will get charged on your bill from 100.00 to 150.00. Sprint is aware of what people do to try to get an upgrade for free, and this is a way of stopping it.

Of course, sprint is not just going to give you a new phone when there's nothing wrong with the phone. Mine had several problems with it that I did not want another replacement when I have had several replacements in the past for very similar problems.

I came to a point that if they did not give me an upgrade for free, I would have seriously considered leaving the company. I was not going to spend another week with that phone (model). I am glad that things turned out in my favor.

SPRINT USERS

Not sure if it has been posted lately. But i Just did a phone claim at www.phoneclaim.com/sprint to see what replacement I would get for the 6800 (I had a cracked screen for the second time...this is the 4th Mogul) and it said i would get the 6850. So I continued the claim process and will be recieving my pro soon.

BTW: It came at a cost of $50 due to the insurance thing. either way...it's a cheaper upgrade. I also upgraded my gf's touch (Dog Chewed it) to a diamond for $50.

If anyone knows of a way to upgrade the touch/diamond to a pro for cheaper than just paying for it right out. Please let me know my gf wants a keyboard now.

I did an insurance replacement for my Mogul at the end of March. I was able to get the $50 deductible and they sent me a brand new TP. Had a couple issues with the first two, but I'm on the third and it's working fine. And because they only want you to send the phone back, I now have three sets of accessories, batteries, back covers, and 6 styli.

I tried doing it over phoneclaim.com, but they directed me back to the 800 number.

Anyone do a replacement lately? Are they still doing the Mogul for the Touch Pro? Because the keyboard on my mogul stopped working.

I talked with Asurion today, they said they can replace my 'defective' Mogul with Touch Pro, but charge me $100 deduction. Shall they charge deduction for replacement if people have TEP insurance?

ANother question. If I need to pay $100 for replacement, why I not just say I lost the phone and they may send a TP to me. In that case, I do not need to send back Mogul (may can sell it on ebay or craiglist), right?

Is it possible you said you lost your Mogul and they send TP to you?

Asurion changed their pricing because of alot to PDA/Smart phones were coming in for claims as these phones are typically more expensive they raise it to cover their overall cost. If you do file a claim and report the device lost or stolen and turn around an post it on ebay,craiglist ect.. when whoever purchases the device will have to activate the phone by the DEC *(Wwhich you reported lost/stolen) . They will not be able to active the device because of the DEC that could cause all sorts of problems for you and the buyer. Namely you get the full price of the phone charged to your account plus you have to refund the money to who ever purchase the brick from you. Just letting you know, good luck either way
