1) Yesterday Morning (2/2/09) I went to the Self-Servic Solutions Page on Sprint.
(http://www.nextel.com/en/services/se...olutions.shtml) 2) I clicked on the "Self Service Phone Replacement page." Link in the middle of the page 3) Followed the prompts and filled the information like a good little sheep 4) After filling out the forms, it displayed to me what phone I would be receiving. NOTE --> I did this several times over the past 5 days until it finally said that I was receiving a TOUCH PRO as a replacement. I kept cancelling the request until it finally showed TOUCH PRO yesterday morning 5) I received an e-mail a little while later that basically said: Dear Valued Sprint Customer: We would like to thank you for your recent Phone Replacement Order, and apologize for the problems you are experiencing with your phone. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Order Summary: Order Number: ET Wireless Phone Number: (XXX)XXX-0991 NOTE: Please keep this Order Number for your records, as it will be needed in the event you wish to check the status of your order during the return process. Defective Phone Information: Model Name: UTSTAR PPC6800 QWERTY CAM Serial Number: 05413823738 Replacement Phone Information: Model Name: UTStarcom Touch Pro Handset Kit 6) I sat back and patiently waited. I didn't bother to track it. I didn't both to offer it milk & cookies. I did nothing. I did a simple implementation of patience. Just be patient!!! Don't freak out! 7) UPS showed up today at 10am ----about 24 hours after I placed the claim 8- The package ships from Louisville Kentucky 9) I never received a tracking number or anything. Package arrived with everything. Weight was approx 3 lbs. I recieved CD's or software, the phone, proprietary USB cable with charger, headphones, 1 GB micro SD card....... I EVEN RECEIVED AN EXTRA BATTERY!! That's awesome. Notes: -My Mogul was less than a year old. I bought it in May of last year. |

I am in the same Saturday boat. I placed my order around 4:55pm est on Saturday. I got my first e-mail confirmation from Sprint right away @ 4:57 est. I have been waiting for the second e-mail and nothing yet. I have been checking this link to track my shipment by reference http://wwwapps.ups.com/WebTracking/reference , and it shows nothing yet.

Sometimes the mail that's 2 big to fit in the box goes there. I just figured if it had been delivered by now it would have shown up on the ups site. |

I think it just depends. I tried over 3 days and kept getting the Mogul. Waited over the weekend and tried again yesterday morning: BAM! TP on its' way. I really think it is just a matter of timing, when they have refurb'd Moguls in the system and when they don't.

No matter how many times I go to the Self Service Solutions page, and try to file a claim, all I am shown is that I will be receiving a reconditioned mogul as replacement.
Any ideas, anyone? |
