Phone has to be in same condition it was sold to you. If you upgraded, it's a $35 restocking fee(not a % as mentioned above.) If it was a new line of service, no restocking fee

Had similar problem and make up something saying there is somthing internally bad with the phone. Then also say the battery is horrible and you want something with better battery. If you have to pay a restocking fee, Email customer care and do some complaining and they will prolly credit your account. Hope that helps.

You dropped it and it got scratched ... life happens. It's unfortunate, but not Sprint's responsibility. Don't make up something, just tell them what happened. Most likely they will help you out.
