Re: If you're waiting until 10/01 to buy a 4G device on SERO

They have completely different processors. That's why the epic seemed faster, because it is faster.

So far so good! I checked my account and i'm still showing a SERO 500 plan. I'll try activating next week and see if it prompts me to setup SERO Premium.

Were you prompted to change your plan at all? Im considering calling now to avoid the 10/1 rush of SERO customers running to get the phone. I just dont want to lose my plan (of course)

I went online and ordered on the site. Then I called when I got it and the CS rep told me I had to wait for 10/1/10 the new codes will not be in the system until then. So then I asked a few more questions about what you get and he suggested that I move down from the 1200 to the 500 plan. Which I was going to ask about anyways. So yes you can order and get it, but just dont activate it. Been playing around with it on my wifi. The Epic is a pretty sweet phone.

I battled with that and the EVO...the Galaxy S won me over. I liked my TP2 but winmo is slow and killing me. This one is bigger and love the keyboard but I am finding myself not using the keyboard as much either.

Before I grab a 4g phone, I was wondering if I would lose my 25% discount when changing to the Sero Premium plan?? Kinda hesitant to jump first

Well, we're not supposed to have discounts on SERO, so when you update to Premium the system will probably check and remove the discount. Unless you hear otherwise you should probably wait until we know definitively.

I know us sero owners are cheap but damn. lol.
The way sprint has been cracking down I wouldn't count on those discounts lasting much longer anyway.

I use about 50 or less minutes and text messages on average a month, so IMO, they are still making waaay too much money on me with the discount appiled. I really use data only.

cheap, yup...

I got a popup when I put the phone in my cart saying that when I activate my phone I will need to change my plan to Everything Plus or Simply Everything, and would also need the Premium Data add-on. Since the phones aren't shipped activated, I got the phone last week, and immediately activated Airport mode. I've been using it on Wifi since I got it!

Now, there's always the possibility that when Oct 1 rolls around later this week, that I may not get the option of switching to SERO Premium, based on the order date of the phone, but I'm sure a call to customer service will resolve that issue.
This post has been thanked 1 times.
