One of the "benefits" of this is to now have anytime mobile to mobile which will allow me to call any mobile number (regardless of carrier) without using my minutes? If this is the case, what is the purpose of my 1250 minutes? Are they strictly for when i call landline or business phone numbers? Im not sure if i am catching the benefit/user of the anytime mobile to mobile with my sero plan....any explaination? Thanks
Not a dumb question at all No, you will not be forced into the new plan by default. You will only have to pay for the new $10 charge if you want to use an Android or other device. If you just simply hang on to the phones you have, you wont be charged the extra 10 bucks a month after Oct. 1.

Hope that helps!~

Thanks for the response (you're blinding me with all that LIGHT! lol) So from what your saying, after the 1st, i can keep my old plan and for an additional $10 i can get an Epic? or will i have to pay $20 for the new plan and the 4g device? Also, how are they using the mobile to mobile minutes in the new plan? That aspect i still do not understand. Thanks again

Hi there. I think this is how it will work… Your current SERO plan will not change on Oct 1. But if you decide to switch to the SERO Premium plan in Oct. you will have "any mobile, any time" and Sprint Navigation added and pay $10/month more for a total of $59.95/mo. You will also be allowed to purchase Android or Palm devices. If you want an Epic or EVO, then you would pay $20/month more for a total of $69.95/mo. Then the 1250 minutes you have will only be used when you make or receive a call to or from a land line.

I had the same SERO 1250 plan that you have. What I did in anticipation of moving to SERO Premium is last month I switched my SERO 1250 plan to the SERO 500 plan by using the web form. I didn’t have to talk to anyone at Sprint. Now my bill is only $30/month. After Oct. 1, I can get an Android phone for $10/month more or a 4G phone for $20/month more. That would bring me back to the same $50/month I was paying in the past. The "any mobile, any time" will take care of 95% of all my calls and the 500 minutes/month will handle the landline calls. The free Sprint Navigation will be icing on the cake

Re: SERO Premium

Pandaman nailed it. I think if I were you, I would do the same as him and look into lowering your plan to the sero 500, and adding the Premium feature. You would end up saving some cash if you decided to go with an Evo or Epic compared to the plan your on now.

Shoot, I'm always searching for more Light

He won't save any money if he calls any landlines (as if anybody still uses those)

I went to a friends house and he had a house telephone... it was like walking into the 1980's.

Re: Sero Premium and Best Buy

I too have a SERO plan and wanted to be able to get my hot mits on a Samsung epic before Oct 1. I didnt want to face stores not having them do to the massive orders by SERO customers! I went to the sprint retail store and well, long story short, they're pretty inept. Called sprint and talked to a rep specifically about the upgrade and she was willing to ship it out and allow me to do the plan upgrade on Oct 1 (exactly like i wanted) however, Sprint charges $100 more and you have to mail in a rebate and wait for your money...I don't like that. Bestbuy online had the phone in stock and allowed me to order as an existing sprint customer without having to do a plan ugrade, just a plan renewal. The process did force me to accept the $10 charge for data, but that was it.
