HTC PRO > EVO on SERO Plan
 

I was told by a sprint rep when I called in today about my keyboard not working that on October 1, 2010 I could upgrade to the EVO and keep my SERO plan but I would have to add $20 to my $30 SERO plan. I thought others would want to know that information.

Yea, I thought ANY Android device would be rejected thru SERO. Besides, isn't SERO technically dead? I mean you can be grandfathered, but new people can't sign up.

Maybe that's the key, the rep is planning on moving you off of a SERO plan and onto a normal consumer plan. Just a thought.

I found this posted tonight on sprintusers.com

Beginning October 1st. Legacy/Sero Plan holder will be able to get newer smart phones including Android. You will have to pay a $10 add-on feature. Just confirmed rumor with account services. With the $10 add on you will also get GPS navigation, mobile to any mobile as well as some other options. There will be an email or notification sent to us legacy/sero plan holders on Sept. 1st.

He even gives out the reps info.

I called it a flat out lie but some people believe it to be true.

Now if this was the case all hell would break lose for having to give up good plans to get it then only to have others not to have to give them up


EDIT:JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE AGAIN WITH A REP AND DEMANDED TO BE TOLD AND FINALLY THEY GAVE IN AND TOLD ME YES SERO AND ANDROID COME OCT 1ST IT IS TRUE IF YOU DO NOT BELIEVE ME CAL SPRINT ACCOUNT SERVICES.

If I were you, I'd insert "rumor" into your thread title. This is about as unlikely a rumor as there can be. Even if this were true, there would be a ton of launch day EVO buyers that would be incredibly pissed off.

Oh, and I would be on the horn with Account Services on October 1st, as soon as they opened, demanding they give me back my SERO plan. You'd better believe, I'd give them an earful.

You LOL i would be livid i have a 7 line plan and opened a 3 line ed1500 plan 2 weeks ago.

They would get all 3 evo's back along with that plan.the sht would really hit the fan.

I do not know how to edit the title only the text.

Bah when you move it there none of the EVO owners who need to read it see it.
