TP2 on SERO now?

I might have been out of the loop for awhile but I've been reading various post where people saying the only PDA phone you "can" get on SERO is the TP2. I thought the TP2 was one of the phone that was "not" allowed on a SERO account including pretty much every PDA phone. Did they change something?

I got my SERO plan with a free TREO 700WX, and later used it with Mogul that I bought for full price at Frys Electronics....

I believe the Touch Pro2 will be one of the last better PDA phones allowed on SERO.

Android phones certainly aren't allowed.

Win7 phones ... who knows but they probably wont be either...

windows mobile has always been allowed on sero that i know of... Web OS, Instinct OS, and android are not allowed on sero.

nothing was changed, the TP2 has always been allowed on SERO

I just was confused because when I got my TP2 back in October, there were tons of people on SERO accounts having trouble getting the "new" TP2 on their SERO accounts because they were being told by Sprint CS that the phone was not available to SERO customers. Am I wrong?

Those cs reps were misinformed...pda phones are allowed, what isn't allowed is Android, WebOs, or Instinct devices....

So yes it is 100% available on SERO, even if you ebay one you can activate it on a SERO online without any hassle...if a CS tells you otherwise, they don't know what they are talking about and if they won't do it, just speak to another CS and they will...

If a device is not allowed, it won't let you activate it on their online site, you can even buy an EVO on a SERO but it won't let you activate it..a TP2 will activate just fine though.

I had a Mogul on my SERO account since I joined Sprint 3 years ago. I dropped the phone in the sink while washing dishes a few months ago and it had been dying a slow death since then. Last week I bought a used TP2 on ebay for $175 and activated it on my account through the Sprint website without a problem.

you can get your tp2 on sero. i just did it last week. did a phone switch between accounts and had the CS rep activate my tp2 on my sero line. CS rep didn't give me a hard time. just asked for my tp2's hex number, told me to make sure phone is turned off during the process, told me to turn it on again and update the profile....and voila!!!...tp2 on sero.
