Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?

I would just hang on the SERO and wait until October to see what Sprint does. Theres rumors and some really nice supporting evidence that SERO folks will have option of upgrading to "iconinc" devices (which includes the EVO) for either $10 or $20 per month extra.
I am on SERO, and I am going to wait it out to see what happens in October.

Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?

It happened Its called SERO Premium. SERO users can call and for an extra $10 per month, you are able to add any device that Sprint has. Plus, you get Navigation and Any mobile, Any time as well.

Just keep in mind, that if you go for an Evo or an Epic, you will also get charged an additional $10 per month making your total bill to $50 per month.

I switched over to SERO Premium and then picked up a used EVO and I pay $50 per month. Evo is a great phone.

Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?

Um.. Idk how relevent this is anymore.. but i too am on sero
and you CAN infact activate an android phone on a sero, you dont have to loose your sero, you just have to change it

True you no longer have a SERO 500
but you would have a SERO Premium

And sero user looking to go android will require a 10 dollar smart phone fee, hence the premium.
but if the phone is 4g capable or a high end data user (iphone, or win7) then you are charged an additional 10 dollar data fee

SERO (30bucks)
SERO Premium (40bucks)
SERO Premium + DATA (50bucks)

heres the catch, you can only do this process online.
If you go into ANY sprint store or call anyone on customer care, they cant touch sprint sero accounts. and they will tell you to leave sero
