That is correct when roaming, if you call or get a call from another cell phone you will be using your anytime mins. You have to be on the sprint network for the "anymobile anytime" to be in effect. The "key" is you must be in the sprint network and not roaming for "anymobile anytime" I saw the rules about this I will see if I can find it. Edit: http://www.nextel.com/en/stores/popu...al_popup.shtml "Any Mobile, Anytime (AMA) and Mobile to Mobile: Applies when directly dialing/receiving standard voice calls between domestic wireless numbers as determined when the call is placed using indep. 3rd party and Sprint databases. Stnd. roaming rates/restrictions apply. Only available with select Sprint Plans and while on the Nationwide Sprint or Nextel National Networks (excludes calls to voicemail, 411, and other indirect methods)." http://www.dslreports.com/shownews/S...me-Plan-104381 "Note that the plan's fine print says the deal excludes calls made to international numbers or while roaming, which Sprint users do fairly often. Specifically, Sprint says "Sprint may terminate service if (1) more than 800 minutes, (2) a majority of minutes or (3) a majority of kilobytes in a given month are used while roaming." Again, "unlimited" in wireless industry parlance usually means anything but, and Sprint's 5GB monthly data cap will also still apply to this "unlimited" offer."

and this reason is why I left Sprint after being with them for 10 years, the last 2 years my cell was my only phone, paid $100/month for the unlimited plan, was moving to an area that only alltel/verizon towers were at and knew I would be roaming 99% of the time and my dealer that I worked with for 10 years (I also worked for a company that had 40 nextel's through him), I told him I was moving and about the roaming and he said becareful, the fine print says if you roam majority of the time, your bill might come in with charges for every minute hence while I am temp moved I suspended my sprint account and got an alltel prepaid and a google phone number, now I get unlimted in/out for right at $30/month (just wish I could get my diamond to get data on a prepaid account!!) |

Re: Sprint's Any Mobile, Any Time*
I understand your point you had to do what you had to do, that is why people need to do their homework before entering a contract...or carrier, "fine print" will always kill you. As for me, sprint is the way to go where I live as in price/ EVDO data coverage.
I have roamed maybe 20min in my 12 yrs with sprint. |

Re: Sprint's Any Mobile, Any Time*
Just took a trip to NY and lost some signal strength when I got far away from the city. Otherwise in FL I always get excellent reception and in Manhattan was even able to use my phone in some subway tunnels when some others couldn't. Wish they would get some 4G down here, but for now I'm good. Can't get all these features at a price this low with verizon or at&t.
