Re: [12/09/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.9.1
New member BCMike here. I used BBSAK to help restore a bricked Bold 9000 (a long story about testing BBs new app to link to BESX using a BIS plan). Along the way I ran BBSAK backup and during the rebuild and restore I've found that all the 3rd party apps are now controlled by this function. I've also apparently lost BB App World function and trying to delete it removes all 3rd party apps as if it deletes this BBSAK backup program. If I just try to push a new BB App World OTA installation I get a notice that this download "contains a different version of module net_rim_bb_appworld which is also used by BBSAK Backup. If you proceed BBSAK Backup may cease to work properly. Proceed? Yes No". What I'd like to do is undo the association of all the apps to BBSAK Backup. Is there a way to do this?

Re: [12/09/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.9.1
I've been using BBSAK with no problems until recently. Now, when I connect the BB (9530 OS 5.x) to the PC (Windows 7) Windows recognizes it and loads the drivers as usual, but when I run BBSAK it says it can't find the device. The device is found by Desktop Manager without problem and I am able to backup data, etc.
One thing that's changed is that the Desktop Manager updated itself the other day (to 6.0.2.42) and I'm concerned it may have installed updated USB drivers that are somehow preventing other programs from using the drivers. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. |

Re: [12/09/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.9.1
I uninstalled BB Desktop 6.0.2 and installed 5.0 SP1 and BBSAK works fine now, so something about the desktop or drivers is causing problems.

Re: [12/09/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.9.1
I have a corporate BB that has been through Enterprise Activation (EA). Is there any way to preserve this EA through a backup and restore (without asking my IT Guy to do another EA)?

Re: [12/09/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.9.1
I made a donation but apparently the no nag version was sent as an attachment to an email confirmation. Problem is my companies email blocks certain file attachments. Could I get this sent to me again to a different email account? The paypal confirmation # is 9CA115079S106912U. You can send it to Erikgjohnson74ATgmaildotcom. Thanks!

Re: [12/09/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.9.1
BBSAK is pain in the neck. It does not read the phone where as BB desktop does. Even after number of attempts it reads and you try to wipe the data, it gives you message that data wiped out. In reality the data is still there. Some thing drastically wrong with this software. If it works, it is a very useful for BB owners. I have used the loatest version 1.9.1.

Re: [12/09/10] BlackBerry Swiss Army Knife v1.9.1
Hello
Today I did an update from OS 5 to OS 6 at my 9700. Before I did a backup with BBSAK. After the update, I can't connect BBSAK with my device. I did several reboots on my PC and Device. Reinstalled BBSAK but I get still no connection. The DesktopManager or other programs get access, only BBSAK don't. Can somebody help me, please. Best regards Andreas |
