Re: Mod gingerbread with 3d driver plus gralloc.12.29.10

Tiad,

Great first build. Thanks for your efforts, it's already out there in terms of stability with frx03. In the near future, I think it'll be kick ass.

Thoughts:

- Android system was snappy (application launch screen & such).
- Apps were sluggish
- Data connection was slow (~56kbits/sec in speed test)
- Gmail force closed when trying to expand threads.
- Apps in general force closed more often.
- Very stable, no SOD
- Good battery life

Looking forward to the next version.

Set up a mock APN, go to Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > Press the Android Key > Name = "aaa", Server = "internet.com". Hit back, and enable it. It seemed to fix right away, but may need a reboot.

I think this killed my SDcard... The formatting and everything went well. I copied the files over, and then after I went into npkinstall and ran the install file, everything still seemed to go alright, but then when after it reboot I can't find my SDcard. I have rebooted my phone multiple times and still nothing, tried connecting it to my PC and still nothing is acknowledging it's existence... So idk if something weird just happened, or if this is what it is like for an SDcard to die. Just wanted to let everyone know that happened in case anyone else runs into that problem.

Does MiniTool Partition Wizard see it,
if so delete any partitions on the sd card,
click apply, wait for it to delete all partitions,
then close the program, and remove sd card from computer
re insert sd card to computer, and start minitool again,
this time create a primary partition of all the space, and try fat32,
you can name it or not, click apply, wait for it to finish
then remove sd card and re insert to computer.

Or find a digital camera, and try to format it via a camera,
sometimes they will format cards that seem damaged.

Good luck
Happy New Year all

I used Minitool Partition Wizard to do the formats. Like I said that all went fine. But after I hit the install while running it from my phone, it went through like normal but then when it rebooted it cant find the sdcard. It is like it isnt physically in there, even with my computer. So I cant reformat it :/ Unless there is some magic to be worked, I will probably pick up another card this weekend at some store. Thanks though.

When you open the APN screen it should be blank.

Press the "Windows" key and it should open a mini menu at the bottom, select "New" or "Add" (don't have it in front of me right now).

If you're on Sprint all you need to do is put something in the first two fields (Name and APN), everything else can be blank.

Go back to the previous page, click on the radio button to activate the APN you just created and you should have 3G in a couple moments.
