I do not have any access points name so i chose add new one started to put the info and saved it but whenever i change mnc number 00 to other numbers and save it I do not see metropcs name from access points name. when i click add new apn the mnc number is set to 00. I also download apn manager and put the all info and add mnc to other numbers i still see nothing. You've verified these are the correct settings for MetroPCS...?

Wow. This latest version works great! The only things I've noticed that don't work are live wallpaper (fix on the FAQ didn't work...phone's complaining that the "live wallpaper picker app" isn't working/responding/whatever), and bluetooth (it just won't turn on). Pandora sounds fantastic coming through the TP2's speakerphone, Google Maps is better than ever with GPS and navigation, and I'm always a sucker for slick voice commands. :) Bravo.

P.S. If anyone has any luck getting live wallpapers started-up, I'd be interested in hearing how you did it.

Live wallpaper = how to make a slow phone even slower. You must be a glutton for punishment.

Yeah yeah yeah...I know. ;) It wouldn't be used permanently, of course. Just more of an experiment to add a little flash at times when I'd show off my TP2 running Android.

Thanks for the awesome thread!

I finally decided to give this a try, but I had some issues. I've tried the troubleshooting steps, and I've read about half the thread, but no luck. The best I've done is to get to the bootup screen with the little droids spelling "XDANDROID," but that just keeps repeating ad infinitum.

I'm a pretty inexperienced user, so I'm sure this is my fault. If someone could just clarify a few points for me, it would be a big help.

1. Startup.txt: I have a Sprint HTC Touch Pro 2, so my startup.txt file should be the one for Rhodium 400, right?

2. 7zip? Reading the instructions below is a little confusing to me.

3. DL & Install XDAndroid (Droid is slang… same thing) Either a or b below.
a. Download & run cab from storage card root, use a file manager (total commander) to install to SD (Storage card)! Do NOT install to main memory.
b. OR, download the .rar/zip file (normally to PC, but if you have rar extractor application on TP2 OK), copy files over to either the root (base level, no directories) of the SD, or make a “andboot” directory.

4. Copy your startup.txt from the startup dir (\sdcard\andboot\startups\RHOD), to the same directory as haret.exe. (after you've unzipped the build & copied onto your SD card, with 7zip (google or look for xdandroid site link to it))

For option A, I can't find a .cab to run. What am I missing?

I tried option B. First I just extracted the file by right-clicking and extracting to the SD card. Then I copied the startup.txt in Windows Explorer. When that didn't work, I tried using 7zip on my PC to extract to the SD card and to copy the startup.txt. Is that right? I guess it's just not clear to me why I need to use 7zip, and which steps I use it for. Do I use it to extract and copy, or just to copy the startup.txt?

3. Should it take a really, really long time to install? Once I get to the step where I run haret.exe, it takes at least 30 minutes to run and get to the XDANDROID screen. Is that normal?

Sorry for the dumb questions, and TIA for the help!

Are you using the directions here?

http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/android-tp...dle-frx07.html

There hasn't been a cab file in ages... It was problematic and actually took longer (although it did make handy dandy shortcuts :p).

No, I was using the steps in this thread. I tried the steps in the other thread, but I got confused when it asked me to copy the calibration file, since there's already one included in the froyo7 bundle... How do I address that?
