There isn't a calibration file... follow the steps, it gives you three options in relation to calibration.

Ha ha, weird. I swear when I tried it last night, that when I tried to copy that calibration file I got a message saying the file already existed. Now when I look, you're right, I definitely don't see it in the Froyo7.zip.

It was 2 a.m. by that point, so I guess that might explain my craziness. I'll try again using the instructions on that thread. Is there any reason that one isn't the sticky?

No clue why it's not sticky'd, other than there's so few threads in the dev section... It's not really necessary to sticky it :p.

I'm not a mod, but I also didn't request a sticky from a mod. Meh.

Okay, it seems to be working now. I was worried because it got stuck on that XDANDROID animation for about 10 loops, but then it booted. Is that normal?

Also, it gave me a message about "com android" failing and I had to do a force close. I'm not sure what that means, but I've made a successful phone call. Eventually I'll get this thing running smoothly! Thanks!

You're doing great, it'll work fine for you, such a positive comment earns you rep!

History: if you think it's confusing now, you should have seen it early 2010! lol.. 10 times as bad. That's why I wrote this guide up, mods decided to sticky it, not me... didn't ask. It's really pretty nice now between all files needed right on xdandroid.com & arrrghhh's non-stop logged in status & help & his guides for each build... kind of a cake walk compared to then :>))

Many have come & gone from this 2009ish project! Even Arrrghhhs threads are this year, thanks to him for taking over a ton of posting!

There are at least 4 good places you can read up on it (actually many more). Some get a little long &/or complicated, I've tried to keep it simple. (you just have to stop reading near the top :>)) where it says *** STOP *** lol :>)) Remember, there are a ton of posts everywhere on this stuff, very few are still alive & contain the correct info. Read with caution & for an extended comprehension of "why" as opposed to a step by step exact guide. (especially #4 below)

1. This thread, simple guide
2. Arrrghhhs individual build posts like FRX07.
3. The xdandroid site itself (not the main page.. confusing to many), use this one: http://xdandroid.com/wiki/Installation_Guide
4. This site was given to me in a PM by a user also: Introduction to Android - SD Card - xda-developers

** Note: Good point above... FYI people: the flying droids writing XDANDROID screen takes a LONG TIME! Wait a few min...

yea... not even sure why they added the dev sectioin at all, way after the fact, on a end of life device... an aggressive young buck mod made a bunch of changes (... doesn't matter to me that much ...) around the same time they banned a certain user for valid reasons... but don't want to regurgitate all that again :>))

Ok, so this is my first attemt with android on my sprint tp2. I installed an am running from a folder on my sd card. Android will boot ok, but my touch screen is 180 out. If I swipe right the screen go's left and vice versa. To select the phone button I have to press the opposite position on the top of the screen. Anyone have any ideas? I installed the whole bundle using option b on the first page and I grabbed the RHOD400 startup.txt file and put it in the folder with HAREt.exe in it. There is a ts-calibration file here too.

Follow the steps in the thread below for manual ts-calibration:
