Re: Unofficial known issues list 9/10

I would like to mention my Data connection stops passing traffic from time to time. Mainly after coming out of sleep.

I have Verizon. It will show good service and EV. It will attempt to send data and sit there forever. Downloading does not work. Browser, Market Etc. will not receive any data and time out.

Usually I have to go to settings - > Wireless and Networks -> Mobile Networks -> Access Point Names and then reset to defaults. Once in a while I need to reregister my network operator too. I NEVER SEE VERIZON.

Anyway, If you need I have Mighty Rom with Stock Verizon MR2 Radio. I do not have it unlocked.

Awesome! Yea, (I believe) QuickGPS updates numbers that are at the radio level - as in the numbers bleed across WinMo and Android - it's too low-level to be operating system specific.

I experience this as well... just random radio flakiness. Talking with some devs, CDMA is definitely in the minority... so our radios don't work quite so well. I'm hoping it'll get some more polish when other things are completed, but the remaining issues seem slow going.

Re: Unofficial known issues list 9/10

Maybe this has been addressed before or maybe its just me. I have been using Android as my primary OS on the TP2 as well. Occasionally my phone will go into a "deep sleep" that it won't come out of, or won't come out of it for a long time. Like, I'll have the phone locked and the screen off, and no matter how many buttons I hammer it won't wake up. Sometimes it will eventually come back, but most of the time I have to pull the battery, boot into WM, then boot back into Android. Anyone have solutions for this or is it a known issue as well?

Known issue, and I'm not aware of any solutions. Look for Sleep of Death or SoD

It's not a real big problem, but something bothering me is that some check-buttons used in Android are positioned over the text that I can't read what the check boxes are for. Hope this gets fixed in the future version.

You can adjust the lcd.density setting and this'll probably go away. I don't think there's any Android QVGA devices out there... hence the sizing issue.

Am I the only one with this problem? no one else bothered by this? I am using 240 density as it comes in blaze. Say 210 will fix this?

Yes, I believe 210 will fix it. However, other apps may look like they're too small and you'll have black bars on the side of 'em.

Basically fitmet isn't perfect yet - it's gotten a lot better, but since there is no Android device designed with the same resolution as our screens, I doubt it'll ever be "perfect" - the devs can make it look good at a system level, but they can't really control how the apps look. I guess I should've asked, are you talking about check boxes within apps or like on a system settings page...? I've only had sizing issues with apps...
