I love the blazen theme....But I can deal with Ref build. Too bad can't package it in an apk so we can have one build and theme it ourselves

I'd love to read up some more on how to expand as you explained above, but have had no luck finding that info. Also, my data.img file persistently has a modified date of 9/29/10, but always seems to retain my most recent settings/changes, is this file the ONLY place settings ect are kept? |

Can anybody on Sprint pull their mms file from \system\apps and post it up? I was trying some stuff in another thread to see about mms and borked my texting, and don't want to have to set up android completely yet again. Thanks!

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!
If you use android mate while in android, keep going up one or two levels and there is a folder named system, in that folder is one titled apps and in that folder is mms.

I have unlimited texting so It wouldn't have charged me a thing. I only get charged for MMS. Those dont cost much either only 20 cents so I dont really get bothered by them. |
Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!
Hey, wanted to give an update on my Android stability situation. I have a brand new Kingston SDcard, and loaded up the latest kernel and rootfs files (on October 22nd, I think). I'm still having stability issues, so we can probably rule out that it was my SD card. So I notice Android will crash back into Windows frequently when locking the screen, sometimes when dragging the taskbar down, stuff like that. It never restarts when just sitting idle. One time I had the deep sleep issue.. and I found it interested, because I tried calling my cell phone from my desk phone, and it went straight to voice mail.
So I did notice something I wanted to ask about. Previously on an older Android build, Android would occasionally lock up and boot itself. What I mean by this is that it would hang, and then it would go back to the "XANDROID" boot screen animation, and Android would pretty much restart without going back into Windows. I was okay with this since it was just kind of a brief interruption. Now whenever it hangs up it crashed back into Windows. I'm wondering if these hangs are related, but something has changed through the versions that causes it not to restart Android anymore? This was personally preferred behavior. |
Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!
Still no wifi. when i select it to turn it on it goes on for a second then goes off while its scanning. I have installed the newest files from Main Page - The XDAndroid Project and Linux kernel zImages and modules for htc-msm-linux.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks. |

Try using older modules/zimage files. |

On a side note, just had another deep sleep.. had to pull the battery. Are there any known fixes to this or is it still a work in progress? |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!
Hi, I have a question on the 3.5 audio jack and the external audio through the microusb jack.
Are these supposed to be working or not? Also i noticed that video playback for mp4's doesn't seem to work. not sure if that is the norm or i did something wrong. Thanks, Edwin |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!
Still having the same issue with XdaAndroid Startup 1.3 (as well as previous versions) where when I press update, it downloads the files, but when I go to unzip them it fails out with an error message.
I used Total Commander to examine the zip file because it shows a files size of 9.13mb, but when I try to extract, I get the error message... All this is after a fresh backup and wipe of my card so I'm clueless as to what the issue is... |
Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!
for the past couple weeks I've noticed an issue where sometimes when people call me I can't hear them but they can hear me. I usually have to hang up and make an outgoing call in order to hear them. Anybody else having this issue?

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [10/04] BATT UPDATES!
Apologies if this has been addressed, but a search didn't find anything--
If I use Google Maps, the phone then never goes into sleep mode (the LED stays red) and it drains my battery like crazy. Force quitting also doesn't help. Basically, if I choose to open Google Maps, I am resigned to restarting my phone afterwards, or else the battery will drain... ideas? |

I've said it before - I'll probably say it again - I avoid calls like the plague in Android for the time being. There's some hope with a new ril wrapper, but so far no joy on that. |

Luckily, I don't get a whole lot of calls, but since I help run our enterprise servers, I need to have the phone working flawlessly to use Android all of the time. I do plenty of testing, but at the end of the night, I usually flash back to wince for the next day :( |
