What kind of new startup text did you use? The problem probably comes from you phone being overclocked, try using a startup text that does not overclock the device.

I wonder what are the going to fix next.
1. Improved 3D rendering.
2. Bluetooth
3. Camera

What ever is easiest for them to fix I would be happy with. Great job fixing the sound on android. If I had a preference it would be the 3D rendering or the camera. I believe the camera is problem the hardest thing to fix.

It will only work if it's on in winmo before you boot into android but it will always be on same thing with the send end and back keys

Many apps I try say that they need an sd card to function properly... Am I missing something here or does the SD card just not get recognized as an sd card? I know if I browse with the file manager it sees the SD card but seems apps think there is not one.

**This question is primarily for REEF cause he's proven that he knows way more than us**

Regarding the startup.txt vs default.txt issue:
I know this is happening fairly frequently for some uses, I had this issue a few days back.... And yes enough info has been posted for users to address the issue if/when it happens.....

But what is the cause of this sudden change where it's now asking for a defaut.txt instead of the original startup.txt? And how can we repair it so that it STOPS happening?

Likewise, how can we get the project android startup screen (where you select kb layout, and can check/uncheck 3d and CDMA) to permanently recognize user settings? I see that even when the startup/default.txt has an entry for force.cdma, project android STILL asks for a selection to be made.

Thanks!

Its actually the regedit command in the startup.txt. Its designed to edit the startup.txt depending on the commands you choose in the startup utility but something went wacky with the code, and now it just eats startup.txt. I thought it was a corrupt application, since I had been using the same exe for months and months but even rolling back to the first original straight out of VS8 it still has the bug. We are currently working on a new startup utility with LOTS of fixes.

Yeah, added to the top of that list would also be improved power management. The difference between batt retention in WM vs. Andro is pretty clear.

Storage Issues (Storage Card Unmounted)
To fix this issue
  • simply download the HP Format Tool | Mirror
  • Install the tool
  • Start Diamond in WinMo. Connect to computer via usb (Usb Drive). Make sure it is connected. Back up all contents of your internal storage.
  • Run the tool
  • Select your internal storage.
  • Format FAT32 (Full format).
  • Restore items on your internal storage.
  • Load Android
Android should no longer give you a message saying the SDcard is unmounted.

Its getting pretty close now bud. Ive had 20 hour days with my TP2, although very irregular. With no overclock, and sleep_1 with only light>moderate use. The way I see it, there is no reason for people to play with their TP2 with WinMo on it, so on top of the fact that that battery management is a little better its also being used MUCH less. Also when it says you have 5% battery left in Android, you really still have about 35-40% in WinMo.

Wow - it works. Really that easy! Got my calendar/contacts/email sync'd with school exchange!!

Android rocks. Just wish it wouldn't keep kicking me off the sprint network. If I reboot it starts to work again. I'm guessing it's a sleep thing. Will troubleshoot some more.

Haven't been following developements for a month or so, and I just about messed myself today when I came back to find sound working. Great job!!!!!!!!! Everything running smooth like butta, with only one tiny issue.

I can't change wallpaper. I can switch between the included live wps and the single one showing in the wallpaper gallery. When I try and set wallpaper from a folder on my card, either from gallery or file manager, android tries to access the camera for some reason and I get the error, crashes back to home screen and the old wallpaper.

I searched around for the "wallpaper gallery" folder in the andboot folder but can't find it or i'd just dump all my wallpapers into it and be done.

Any ideas? Either to stop android trying to access the camera when setting wallpaper, or where the folder that is the only working method for me resides so I can drop some pics in there?

Use menu > wallpapers > gallery > img > use as wallpaper as the path instead of apps > gallery > img > set wallpaper.

For some reason that way works and does not access the camera the second path gallery crashes.

More info, and a scanning app here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...postcount=1391

So is this why I keep getting "android.process.media has stopped unexpectedly"? I get it a startup, every few minutes, and when I run certain apps.

I tried the card scanner linked to above but it flagged so much stuff it was ridiculous. Seems like a pretty stupid problem if you have to remove every parentheses, bracket, etc. from every file on your SD card. Not saying you guys aren't doing a good job, just that for Android in general it seems a bit crazy.

Assuming that is my problem, is there any other fix?

Does anyone else have problems using their own ringtones vs. stock ones? When my phone rings, it will only ring once if I use my own ringtone (mp3). If I switch to an Android stock ringtone, the phone continues to ring as normal (ie 4-5 times).

I read on another forum that the ring_delay entry needs to be changed (ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=1 to ro.telephony.call_ring.delay= "anything greater than 1000"), but adding the line in my STARTUP.TXT file didn't seem to help.

this is probably a really stupid question but where are the directions to do this for the first time? I downloaded it, installed it to sd card, launch it from shortcut in start menu, check rhod500, force cdma and hit launch but it would get stuck. i then went into the update and updated everything and now all i get is an error saying unknown keyword.

+1, except for choosing sprint. I can cook my own custom rom but can't install a cab LOL! Sometimes you have those days. Still searching. I'll let you know if I have a "clear" moment.

You broke it by updating the zimage/modules using that tool. It has been said here and my other thread many many many times, also, the instructions are on the same page that you downloaded the file from.

To fix this problem download the .rar file from my download page, extract, replace broken zimage/modules with the new zimage/modules from the rar files.

Just downloaded the newest BLAZN build but when extracting the files to the SD card it does not work? I put the folder on the root of the SD card and also under andboot folder on the root. What am I doing wrong? I have read through the wiki for it and am not fully understanding it. Please help if possible

Downloaded the .rar file and transferred everything over I now see the scrolling text like its booting, but it's taking a long time. What's everyones first boot up time for this? I can see that the cursor is still blinking so I am assuming that it is working but seems like something may be wrong?

Very first boot can take up to ten minutes so dont worry if it seems to drag on, just let it go through. Also pay attention to when it finally hits the animated xandroid bootscreen, it will loop for maybe a minute or two. Again, nothing to worry about.

After this first initial long boot, it should usually take no more than 30 seconds to a minute going forward.

Post back and let us know how it goes.

Sounds like it may be a startup.txt issue: In that case, do a search for "startup.txt" in this thread, download one of the modified txt files that have been posted and replace the startup.txt in the Andboot folder on your storage card and try to load again.

I havent heard of it. I primarily stick to the CDMA TP2 side of things when it comes to Android news... the rest is irrelevant to me till I can actually use it on my device lol. Gotta a link? I'd like to read up on it.

I see that there are 2 different files one is 355kb and the other is 384kb not sure which one I need. Also once I get the attachment do I put it in the andboot/startup file? Or another new file?

Go with the 384kb. Paste the new txt file into your Andboot folder and let it replace/overwrite the old txt file.

LOL activation might be a nice place to start but might not be the main cause of your issues. Delete all of the Android stuff on your card, backup card, re-format, then download and install the CAB version instead of the rar file.
