Thanks for sound fixing with new update. Did you hear a slight noising in speaker all time? That sound can be heard even in silent mood.

It does keep your settings. I installed right over the old version, and my them, background, clock, all that stayed intact. Ever noticed when installing pandora, it holds your login and stations.same idea

Tried it out last night, and it's a vast improvement from what it was when I tried it just 4 months ago. Good work guys! I'm sure in just a couple months, it will be able to be used daily, and perfect.

I was already using it daily before sound came on, i can live without BT and camera (for now though I'd like to try the ARG apps one day)

The biggest fish to fry now is power management imo followed by 3D drivers.

According to the Project Android FAQ:
Add the following to your "set cmdline" line in startup.txt.

Control In Call Sound (IN CALL ONLY)
htc_hw.call_vol = x
x can be 0-5, 0 lowest and 5 loudest obviously. Default level is 5.

FYI, installing Rock Player doesn't help with video playback. It's not just slow -- there's no picture at all, until you pause and get a still. But at least I can *hear* the videos now!

I'm constantly taking pictures, so I can't use it as a daily. I also use my device as a music player, so sound was an issue. Picking up the Epic 4g in a couple days, but I wouldn't mind having my TP2 Android-ized as my world phone.

Does anyone have any issues with No Service/Airplane mode turning on awhile after using Android?
It will work a whole day without any issues, then all of the sudden I get No Service (didn't install or really do anything different)
I have force_cdma=1 set in the default file...
I also went to Wireless & Network settings --> Mobile Networks --> Network operators --> And selected Select Automatically

Any Ideas?
This build works great besides that! :headbang: Trying hard to use it full time! :mrgreen:

I'm using ADW for my Home screen instead of Launcher Pro. And it works great! :headbang:

I have the newest blazn. I'm having an issue where sometimes I got no data connection, but if I go ahead and make a call and retry data it works.

Does Google Maps crash anyones pho1ne? My phone always crashes. I formatted the SD card, and did a fresh install, still problematic.

Also, I'm constantly getting a crash error.

"The application Calendar Storage (process com.android.providers.calendar) has stopped unexpectidly. Please try again."

I am wondering if the phone is trying to sync a Google Calendar service, in which case I don't have that service. How would I disable the calendar sync? (assuming that is the problem)

i am also getting the stuck in airplane mode. works awesome in first boot but every following boot it stays in airplane mode. i can use wifi regardless. i am also getting the text error around the 3rd or 4th boot. there is an interim fix for that. save a copy of the text file in andboot folder and keep it handy someplace else. when you get that boot error just repaste it into the andboot file.

I can't get anything to work until after a reboot to windows, then start a active internet connection then boot Android... I might have to do this two times or more too... :(

But I did notice when I get No Service my free memory goes up quite a bit... If that helps...

Latest Kernel zImage and modules fails to boot all the way. It gets to the lock screen and reboots.

I been having issues with certain applications losing connection. My guess is DNS resolving but it could be something else. Sometimes the market will not get data but I can browse.

Usually cycling radio works.

I have no problems with google maps, it works fine and gives locks on my location within 5 seconds of startup.

Google calendar on the otherhand gives me the same issue you see, so I just stay away from it for now....

I'm still getting the 'default.txt' issue and now I notice that when I try to boot my original startup.txt has been erased. the file is still there but it show the file size as 0... not sure how or why this started happening but it's a minor annoyance. Any thoughts? My next step will be to backup my SD card, wipe and replace all files...

I used to have the same problem with you whenever i'd use the mjgdroid utility (or whatever it's called) to boot into android. ever since i edited the startup.txt myself and use haret.exe directly to boot, my startup.txt has not been erased. just a thought, maybe it will work for you too

Make a copy of a working startup.txt and rename it to default.txt. Leave this in your andboot folder. The startup utility will probably still destroy your startup.txt, but if your default.txt is in there, you can just click "run" and it will start haret, and not eat up your default.txt.

NEW August 30 New Put together a new package with a few updates. This one fixes the garbage noise of the speaker being "on" even when no sounds are being played. Also updated the rootfs file for a few fixes. (Add new gralloc for WVGA devices).

Wirelessly posted (Opera/9.80 (J2ME/MIDP; Opera Mini/5.0.3521/19.916; U; en) Presto/2.5.25)

For those who can't get data working, make sure you take out your SIM card.

I have been using this for about a few months now, and I am extremely thankful for everything that everyone has done. I do have one question though that I haven't really seen addressed since the beginning, which is what is the deal with MMS? Is it something that will be eventually fixed, or something that requires the source and is likely to never be fixed? That is the only thing at this time that keeps me from using Android as my main OS on the TP2.

Oh, for the love of ice cream...I just downloaded the 8/27 version this morning & finally got it working about 1/2 hour ago when I refreshed and read this. *sigh*. here I go again.

Just download the rar and replace your zimage, modules, and rootfs files. There was no system update, so no need for a whole new install. :)

Wish I would'a known that tidbit.
I did the normal install of the latest and what I got was not pretty.

wrong time
an airplane (probably airplane mode) where I normally see 3G.
no sound
no signal

I didn't do to much else as far as looking for what else was missing.

R-n-R now.
