If you set the end button to go to home screen, is there another way of shutting the screen off, i.e. to make it sleep? I've been reading here and XDA but can't seem to find the answer, or does everyone just let the phone go to sleep on their own?

...The power button on the top of the phone?

It actually works like WinMo does now, I love it :D

 mine just goes from home screen to multiple home screens and recent apps.... (power button that is on top). I was hoping I could get it to shut off the screen, and use the end short press to go to home. Am I doing something wrong (It's very likely I am, lol)

fish,

you have to be in the main screen to accomplish what the previous post claims.

I was going to say, it sounds like you're running an old kernel :p

The newest (downloadable) kernel from the autobuild is 20101011_223921 - try it out... Hopefully that's your issue. This kernel is where they changed the power button behavior.

Also, you have to change the end key functionality in "Spare Parts"

I've seen some guys on XDA having issues where the power button simply does _nothing_. You didn't describe that, you described the behavior of the power button before the kernel update, which is why I recommended updating the kernel.

I am still confused as to how some phones the power button does nothing, but so far only one RHOD100 has reported the issue. Another guy also reported it, not sure what kind of phone he has tho.

What are you using to extract the files on ur phone, or are you using pc and moving them over through WMDC or AS? I may just have to wait til I get home from work, can't connect through work pc.
