I am going to go with these as my top four:

battery management
sound
gps
3D Acceleration

I have absolutely no idea how you guys to Android Development but what you have so far is fantastic! I don't know if it helps any but I know the Hero and TP2 have the same battery, maybe some data mining from a Hero build is in order?

Thanks for all the development!

It's interesting that sound is by far the most important issue for most people.

Don't get me wrong, sound is definitely important but I guess I'm in the minority camp that thinks, "what good is sound if your battery has run down..."

I total agree with you on this one. If we have sound working everyone will be running Pandora and other music/ video programs. I also this that after this people will then really start to complain about how they one get 30-45 minutes of battery in android. I know that pippy and civic are doing a great job and will get everything accomplished sooner or later. One thing that I am kinda lierious 0
about is I hoe they continue development when they possibly get new devices. I know there are some new devices coming out (HD2, Supersonic, Desire etc.), so hopefully they stay with the Touch pro2 or continue dev, because without them, we would be no where near where we are now.

My thoughts exactly. I can always reboot to WM for some things, but I can't reboot everytime I want to see where my batt is at.

Sound is the only thing that is preventing it from being totally usable as a phone. I'd like my battery to last longer, sure, but first I'd like my phone to ring

It's not so much about the battery lasting longer as it is the ability to see how much is left and being able to charge it. Vibrate works so we can still be notified of new text/email as well as incoming calls.

I too would like battery status and the ability to charge. I have built several linux instakllations and compiled my own kernels several times. It is a pain (to get various functionality working), but I can only imagine what its like when there are no drivers for the hardware! then also you could always just build a huge kernel with support for every thing there ever was or ever would be, not an option on the phone lol

I notice also that lspci is not included, I was very curious to see what we had..

It's like having a great car but running out of gas. What good is it?
I think in the current state, you can't even charge the battery while in Android. You can get sound but you still only have a usable phone for like 5 hours. Then it's back to Winmo to charge the battery again...

Exactly. And btw - I was in Android earlier today when it actually vibrated for an incoming call. When I tested that yesterday (same build) it didn't do that. I was busy and let the call get ignored. Called the person back a few min later, and after the call ended I had nothing but a dead screen (screen was off). Couldn't get it back so I had to hit the reset button. Weird.
