I am by no means a genius on how the rootfs file works, but is there a way to take the rootfs from, let's say, the Hero or the Moment, and modify it to include the Rhodium (TP2) files necessary? I am not a developer, but I didn't know if that would be something worth trying?

also I don't like how you HAVE to setup a google account to get into the apps store, but oh well... tons of progress has been made on this and I will be staying tuned for future updates!!

No different from Apple or Microsoft's App Store

bertimus, unfortunatly the differences in hardware between the devices make this impossible beyond what is already being done. Android itself is an operating system that is a version of Linux made specifically for cellphones. However in order to run, specialized code has to be written to tell Android how to communicate with the specific device it is running on. The version of Android that is being used for this project is the same version being used on the Hero and other Android phones, but the differences in hardware is what this project is about.

Shawnageek, check the first post in this thread and follow the instructions. The latest build should have WiFi working as long as it isn't protected by WEP encryption (WPA and WPA2 work fine). Also, if you pull your SIM card out of the phone before rebooting, you should also be able to have 3G data service working on Verizon (I have verified this) and Sprint provided you have data coverage.

Also, be sure you have cleared out any old files left over from the previous versions you have had installed. If you don't get rid of your data files, then it may not initialize android properly with the newest release.

Touch screen is already improved since earlier builds. Download the latest kernel and give it a try.

Updated with the zimage and modules dated "Date: Sun Mar 14 21:38:16 2010 +0100", a couple resets, but seems to be working pretty good. Screen is more bearable now, things like market working fine.

It was a little shaky at first, but seems to be just as functional to me now, and the double-taps have been worked around for the most part.. Not quite perfect, but much better.
