Re: [3/6/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

FWIW, I didn't have data right away when I first booted into Andoird (after removing my SIM and clearing my SD card and starting from scratch). I made a call and right when I hung up I had data. Don't know what it was, but it seemed like that jump started it for me.

Re: [3/6/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

I know all about trial and error...got to be willing to try something first if you want to contribute. If there are any resources or pointers anyone can provide on how to dig into the OS, I am all ears..and eyes. 'Trial' and 'Error' are in my blood. What fun would it be if everything worked the first time?

At this point I am looking forward to the following: 1) Marketplace - so I can load apps 2) External speaker - so I can hear the phone ring 3) GPS - so I know where I am 4) power management - so my battery will last

I tried this, I guess you could say it worked .... however it deleted all of my contacts and calender from Windows and is no longer able to be put back on my device from MyPhone. I re-synced my phone with Google and it put the contacts back on, however no of them have names. I am really upset because I had about 4 years worth of Calender appointments on my device and all of my contacts. If anyone has any clues, besides starting all over fresh.

hummm...if i have to format or clear my SD just to make this work then it's definately a deal breaker for me. i've got a 16gb SD card and it has a ton of shit on it.

is clearing the SD card a must, Carla?

Only thing I can think of off the top of my head is kick back to winmo, and make sure that your sync settings are set so that winmo overrides/overwrites computer settings and try to sync the winmo info back into the computer. Other then that, have you ever used Microsoft MyPhone, or Dashwire. If you have they might be able to help you get that back, but if you haven't used them before, it won't help now.

Sorry if that doesn't help, but I can't think of anything else.

pts69666, didn't mean to get on you, was just an fyi, and helping people not have to sign up with handango to dowlnoad stuff.

RWCJ63, if that's your only card, I certainly wouldn't do it. I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue, but android ate my garmin maps, and I had to reinstall them. so as a precaution, I would head to wally world and snag a cheapy 2 gig class 6 card to use to play with Android.

Sorry about that guys but this is not an android issue and I probably shouldnt have posted it here to begin with but it happened right after I loaded android so initially I thought it was.

Anyway, Im running MR. X's newest build (which is amazing). Shortly after loading android the speaker and mic went out on my phone. I figured out it wasnt related to Android because the same issue persisted on the WM side. I know its not Android related because I remembered that the same thing happened before (also while running Mr. X). Only solution seems to be a hard reset. I dont want to clog this thread with unrelated posts so if anyone has any questions or are able to help pm me please.
