Re: [3/6/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]
SO I could not get it to work at all yesterday. Today I took the card out of my phone, deleted everything put the files back on booted and bam reboot, did it 2 more times, and out of the blue third time was the charm, hasn't rebooted since, phone calls and texting worked great, facebook app seriously lags, BUT I am thrilled to see data working good.
Now, I did have a data hiccup I couldn't get data to work at first, but I did the register on network thing twice and the second time it worked. Added my google account and it synced my contacts, total sweetness on google's part with that. Something I found that is flippin sweet and I have read every post on here so I know no one has said it yet. (yes every post on 139 pages, over time that is) If you go to settings/locations & security/Change unlock pattern, you can setup a pattern on the nine dot pattern grid. It can be whatever you want it to be, and that works to more securely lock your phone, as well as get away from the slider thing. You do slide your fingers across the grid for your pattern, but in my opinion it works better. I always thought this was a sweet feature on the G1 and wanted to share this with you guys. Also for anyone wanting notification of a new text, go to messaging, then click the windows key, click settings, scroll all the way down and click vibrate. We don't have sounds so I went looking for this, and unfortunately it isn't in the sounds part of the main settings like one would logically think. I will post if I found out anything else that would be useful. Another thing to let people know you can go to the sites that people are saying have free apks straight from your phone and install the programs directly from your browser. I found that out when we had wifi.

Sorry, I didnt quote the right post. The problem was the speaker/mic not working. Even on the WM side. Happened a couple months ago also. Solved with a hard reset.

Something to try, completely reformat your sd card with fat32, put fresh android files on, and see if that works. |
