Re: [1/25/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

Is anyone else having issues when running this android build (1/25)?

When running it, Android will stop working and I get a message saying something like a process is not responding. If I tap on wait, then it does eventually come back but it takes around a minute or two to come back. Could it be due to the memory card I'm using? It's a class 4 8gb Kingston?

Otherwise I can't thank you enough Civic for your work on this. Absolutely awesome work.

Re: [1/25/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

Thanks for your hard work, I can't wait to see what the future holds.

Does loading Android take an inordinate amount of time for any of you?

I think I've been waiting at the console type scroll for about 10 minutes waiting for the OS to boot.

Bah.

edit: Working fine now.

YES, finally we got 95civic over here. the other thread is dead and this is the only guy taking the time to figure out android on cdma tp2! i vote this replace the current sticky too. i look forward to the day of having phone, sms and data capabilities on our tp2s. keep it up and feel free ignoring us until your next update... most peoples questions can probably be answered by us lurkers anyway and by your first post.

I think these ports rely heavily on the class on the micro sd. For those who don't know about class (I think every one does though??) the higher the class the better because it means more amounts of info being transferred per second.

Used a class 2 8gb to run, took roughly 10-15 minutes on first boot. Considering it took that long, I dropped $20 on amazon and bought a class 6. I'll report back if it's faster...meanwhile waiting for it to come and hopefully when it does, CDMA's data would be working. For those interested, here's the link I bought the micro sd from (make sure you nab one of the special promotions! who minds free stuff??)

Re: [1/25/2010] Google Android for TP2 CDMA [In Dev]

Civic,

Thank you very much for working on this. This loaded right up on my TP2. I can't wait for your next update to get data working.

Does anyone know if there are other versions available for other devices that have data and sms working?
