Its not working for me even using this method... It loads just fine, calibration is the best I've seem, and definitely the most stable and smoothest build I've used so far but I can't seem to hear anything when making a call...
I'm using the build 95civic released a few days ago at xda.

hmm dont know what to tell you

how many times did you try it??

i know on first boot haret takes too long and the call might disconnect before it can grab the functionality.

You don't flash it. You run it from your sd card using Haret.

No "how to" required, just run the file from your SD card

copy haret-0.5.2.exe to sd, copy all of the files in the android zip to sd, then run haret exe from windows mobile?

edit: haret comes in the android zip... duh.

Try to dump all the Android files onto the root of a different memory card.

Anybody had any luck with wifi? The topaz forum has some reports of wifi success but every time I try and turn it on with the new builds my phone restarts.

EDIT: Seems like only one person is claiming working wifi with a Rhodium... It is working with the Topaz though so hopefully the rhodium is close.

Who else is working on Android for CDMA-Rhodium besides 95-CIVIC? It looks like the last release was 1/12.

2 things to try
1) make sure everything is on the root of your sd card (some builds are okay with stuff in an Adroid folder some are not)
2) make sure your startup.txt references the correct device type- I believe it should be 2292- look around for some rhodium (TP2) specific startup files

Unless you plan on doing the development I would suggest not complaining about how little you feel was done in the last 5 days.... give the guy a chance to works some magic!

Thank you for your suggestion. I cannot read "complaint" from InvincibleLiving or myself in our messages. If I did not articulate myself clearly enough in the original message, my objective was to seek out others who may be working on different aspects of the Android CDMA TP2 build. In this way, I can solicit advice, or volunteer my development services to 95-civic, or any other resource working on an Android build for the Touch Pro 2.

95-civic: please feel free to contact me via PM if I can assist with your efforts. I will begin to read through the Android / HTC dev threads in both XDA and PPCGeeks to see where to get started.

Again, thank you for your suggestion.

EDIT: and my apologies for not thanking 95-civic for his contributions to this community. Your work is greatly appreciated and respected.

Friedmjb,
Thanks for posting this link on my thread over at XDA; it's great to see how many people are pumped about getting Android on their TP2 as I am! I just put a post up on my thread at XDA a few minutes ago. I've been tied up at work for 85 hours so far this week and will be back on development tomorrow evening. Send me a PM with your email address once you get ubuntu up and running and we'll chat.

Always glad to have someone else help out!

Firstly, make sure you have a GSM compatible version of Android. Get this from the Topaz Thread linked on first post
I suggest you do the following:
1)Download the most current build of Android OS
2)Plug your phone into USB or insert storage card into card reader
3)unzip the Downloaded Android OS to a new folder on your desktop
4)open file explorer and navigate to your device's storage card
5)If you have previous android files on your storage card, delete them
6)copy all files from the new folder on your desktop onto your storage card.
7)Unplug phone from USB
8)Open file explorer on phone and navigate to storage card
9)Run 'Haret'

This should work for you.

This is very exciting. THANKS to all that are working on getting Android working on the CDMA TP2. I can't wait. Windows Mobile has been a terrible experiance for me-- have even thought of going back to my Centro:( It seems WinMo needs a fresh install on my phone every 1-2 weeks. I would love to be able to keep my phone and run Andriod instead. Thanks again to all that are working on this.

how long does this process take? seems like its been about 10 min or so and its running about 5 or 6 lines at a time.

Re: Android, it's alive!.. (2.0.1) - Updated 12/24

it can take a long time for the first boot, it depends on how fast your sd card is. after the first go it should boot in less than 5 minutes.

you took the words right out of my mouth. good thing is if i take the battery off and put it back , it goes back to Wm. I dont know whats up with that but i would like to try the ROM for a few days . If the bugs can be worked out i think it will be a awesome ROM.

it is a work in progress. it is going to take a while to port out android for the tp2. just relax. once it is up and going it will be great. i still like to play with the apps that do work. and if i could help port the software i would. i just do have the experise for reading lines and lines of code. remember the guys doing these things also have a life. so just give them time and thank them for what they have done.

Anybody have any thoughts on when this might be ready for prime-time? I'm guessing with the popularity of the TP2 and the strong hacker community, we will eventually have the best Android port of any phone, but I'm not an hacker/programmer and wouldn't be the best to guesstimate.

Do the experts here think we'll have a strongly functional build in say 6 months?

Ummm, what? Maybe you missed it, but that's exactly what I did in my original post. And as soon as more working stuff comes along, I'll do it again

yea... unfortunately it seems like rhodium is lowest priority in the droid dev atm. Hopefully we will see something happen soon and at least get sms and wifi working. though we are doubley in a position of having to wait since not only are we low priority device, most of us are cdma which is extra low priority. i can ETF with no fee if I do so in the next few days... wondering if i should go nexus.
