Also, prey-tel why EXT4 would fry our NAND chips, last time I looked I thought the TP2 had nearly the same type of NAND chips as the HD2, and they almost have EXT4 working on the HD2 (i admit it could have been another phone I was looking at, but that was long ago and many many PC formats and lost bookmarks ago).

It's pretty much up to par with SD builds. Somethings work better in fact. Never know till you try.

1) LED notifications dont work (I am using an app called NoLED but this is not really an issue and has been purposely done for sleep debugging which is not really an issue anymore (see point 4)) 2)Gallery/Maps etc mess up the pic when you switch from portrait to landscape but it doesnt really bother me. 3)BT doesnt work for some but works perfectly for others. 4) GPS should work perfectly (fixes less than 3 seconds) if you use http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/android-tp...a-support.html 5)Battery meter is useless. The stuff on http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/android-tp...er-system.html was awesome but mysteriously never made it into any sd/nand builds for some reason. Last edited by htrakr; 03-04-2012 at 01:47 PM. Less of an issue with a NAND build (like OMGB), but I'll take a wild guess and say that things have progressed since then that it's not so simple to incorporate that code into the latest. |

Re: [TESTING] - NAND OMGB (1.2.3)
Hi folks!
I'd like to recall the problems I've been having with my screen: general unresponsiveness, registering a single tap as a long press or not registering at all, erratic scrolling. The last time I posted my logs ACL mentioned that a lot was going on with my phone so I decided to take a different approach: I erased all partitions and installed OMGB from scratch, but this time, I didn't install any apps, not even the gapps. My phone is running on OMGB alone (it's a glorified feature phone ). At first it was working fine, but all of a sudden the screen started to act out again. I installed the tscalib app using adb, ran it and things seemed normal again. But after a few hours my screen was wonky. So, I installed getlogs using adb, I'm posting my logs. I hope this time they are much easier to analyze. Thanks a lot for your help. |
