Hrm... that's frustrating. WisTilt2 seems to think they're RIL related, which a lot of our problems seem to be stemming from that bastage hodgepodge...

Gfx glitches should be completely gone now!

Haven't had a chance to try the new 2/28 yet but I had that with the 2/27 one. Solid green sleep. Nothing could wake it up, multiple power button presses, kb sliding, etc. For me the 2/24 has been the best thus far, no issue with that one; luckily, I saved a copy of that one so I can always go back if the newer ones aren't as reliable.

Re: [TESTING] Updated 2/28/11 New Kernel - GFX Glitches/lag fix

has anyone noticed the battery dying out quicker. I switched to 2/27, and noticed it. I jsut switched to 2/28 and we will see out that goes. But for some reason my phone ran out of battery quicker on 2/27. I mean i know our battery gauges arent that accurate, but still.

It was sleeping correctly...? That's definitely the #1 reason my battery life sucks, if the phone isn't sleeping correctly.

About to start with a fresh build. Briefly used the 2/28 kernel last night, but data.img was corrupted (wouldn't even copy it to my desktop under Windows or Linux). Will report back after class..

Nope, gotta wait for the camera stuff to be committed, which appears to be happening lately.

Edit: Changed my earlier rant... didn't have my coffee early and getting tired of seeing the same ol' questions...

*No (or vvveerryy slow) sleep when GPS is enabled, but I believe we have known that?

*Quick and clean wakes, haven't had to press the button twice.

*Answer/Windows/Back/End keys stay lit during sleep.

*Reinstalled all my apps while chargering and using wifi. Unplugged charger at 8:30am. Setup my phone and applications' settings. 10am getting low battery warnings.

Gonna head home to recharge to keep the testing going.

heh, I guess I'll try to answer these in-line...

This is known, phone will not sleep whatsoever when GPS is enabled

*Quick and clean wakes, haven't had to press the button twice.

Have you never run Android before? If these lights are on in WinMo when you boot Android, they will be stuck on...

*Reinstalled all my apps while chargering and using wifi. Unplugged charger at 8:30am. Setup my phone and applications' settings. 10am getting low battery warnings.

Uhm... I guess if the phone was never sleeping, that's possible. Not sure what battery level you were at, you haven't given any numbers - you could've started at 30% at 8:30 for all I know....

Gonna head home to recharge to keep the testing going.

All I know is that battery drain is not typical. I'm guessing the phone either wasn't sleeping, or you didn't start at 100%.

Also, I'm posting a new kernel. It's completely up to date with autobuild (1276) so cam/video record works... However, when I enabled all the userland libs I ran into a TON of crazy issues, as did some of the other testers. So be warned - when I disabled the libs, this kernel works great! However, if you do disable the userland libs the camera won't work at all... so that's the trade off. You all asked for it!!

Alright, kernel posted guys. I honestly don't want reports of issues with cam libs enabled, so don't even bother...
