i'll commit tonight along with the updated build script and updated android.tar with the update.gz as well. This is all we need to get this moving.

Now i dont have to do this lzma poop which is good and i can concentrate on camera... but before all this, i shall get myself a drink and toast to you..

Edit: looks like cotulla got magldr mostly working today. So he is also preparing nand image for his build.. nand for everyone !!!

Don't forget about the system_server bug... It's still here...

I'm trying out your system.tar right now... Maybe this will help with my data problem.

Edit: Your System.tar boots but only for a sort time... Then just reboots again. I will up mine shortly...

I think they are referring to this:
Commit in eclair-rootfs in XDANDROID Eclair - Gitorious

I still don't think that is the fix, but you could try updating the file in your system and see if that helps.

Also, I've been messing with busybox, but menuconfig is broken for me, so I can't selectively decide what is including vs what isn't without manually editing every MAKEFILE in the structure. It's not going so well, but the basic busybox from defconfig is only 1MB. We could just use that and then include format_flash separately. Still looking into it all right now. With mtd_utils, I think I can actually get all the flash info I need for offsets without needing mtty
