Hey Nate, whats this about some guy going full Nand, and not bricking his TP2. I just saw your post from yesterday on Tiad8's 3D thread. I read this thread everyday. Did I miss something?

Ahh ok.. well i was able to replicate one of th eissues last night. When i keep turning off the panel enough times it wont come back (maybe after the 10th time). This wasnt the case before so now i need to see which one of my changes killed it.

If it helps, I tried the kernel from the 14th and the one following the changes you committed from the 18th, and neither of those worked as well (actually, not really at all) as the one from the 15th of December.

found some bugs on the micrp code that need to be fixed. So i'm waiting for our topaz brethren to get on that so we can continue with the panel. Patience only way things get done.

maurice.green says he merged system.ext2, data.img, and rootfs.img together and put them on NAND. I haven't been able to get him to respond with any details though.

Also, I updated the first post with a full package. The 3D performance is quite good, but unfortunately, I had to use the 11/29 build since that was the last one before we started attempting panel fixes.

its not im possible at all. We have the tinboot code ready to do it, its just that we arent sure if its correct :-p. We need a brave soul to just try it i suppose. We have plenty of reference on the dzo code.

nate: also some good patches coming up. Waiting for wistilt on his improvements on the panel init. I stopped auto build for now since his code might help.

um qucik question would sprint TEP cover me if i brick my device? thing is im getting that damn oily sheen on my screen ( anyone who had a TP will remember that thing) so was thinking of going in to the store to try for an exchange/repair anyway so if bricking it by messing up the nand wont void the warranty/tep i could give it a try

If you brick it by flashing a custom ROM, that's definitely not covered. Also, I or anyone else here will not condone abusing insurance - that's fraud dude.

Re: NAND Boot Testing - 12-14: Panel power off fixes and new rootfs (important update

sorry maybe i wasnt clear i meant im gonna give it in for repair anyway ( i already had the damn oily screen once and they fix it/ change it) so i was saying if i flash the nand rom as an experiment and it got bricked would it be noticable by them that i did something i shouldnt and then have them say no repairs at all. i figured going in for a messed up screen and for a messed up phone aint that much different.

and as for it voiding warranty HSPL which we do for flashing any rom voids the warranty technically
