and as for it voiding warranty HSPL which we do for flashing any rom voids the warranty technically
Oh I see. I wouldn't risk it to be honest, as with any warranty replacements, if they find any reason to reject it, they probably will. You're just giving them an out to reject your claim.

Also, I updated the first post with a full package. The 3D performance is quite good, but unfortunately, I had to use the 11/29 build since that was the last one before we started attempting panel fixes.
Thank you for made full package but I'm still got boot loop even after format my SDCard using SDFormatter program as you suggest in the last post.

SDFormatter give me FAT16 format by default and can not see the option to change it . With FAT16 I can not flash RHODIMG.nbh using SDCard and seen Tinboot can not detect it. After some failed of test I was tried to re-format my SDCard to FAT32 as normally and the tried a trick with SDCard as bellow, then I got android booted:
  • Task29
  • Flash Tinboot then reboot without SDCard plugged in
  • Init script seen stuck at "Waiting for SDCard" output
  • Put SDCard to phone.
  • Got boot animation, then booted up but freeze right after that, then I was wait for a few minutes but it seen still can not work normally, so I was reboot it.
That's only one time I have android booted up, the second time after that I have boot loop again even try the trick with SDCard (not place SDCard at boot until see "Waiting for SDCard") this time Init script seen go fast through message "Waiting for SDCard" then reboot

I used to work at a Sprint service center and usually if people say they tried to update it and it stopped working, it'd get swapped. I'd see the custom HSPL when you go to the rainbow screen and just kinda laugh to myself. It isn't supposed to be swapped out, however most of the people at the store won't know what you are talking about and once it leaves the store as long as there isn't water damage, the store won't hear anything back about it. So, honestly, you are in the clear. About the whole abusing the insurance, I had co-workers who would get scratches on their screen and swap it out saying the speaker was blown just to have a perfect phone.

Did you try another card? Not all cards are supported. I think officially we dont support anything class2. I had something similar happen to me. Eventually it got worse. Search early in this thread when i thought i killed my phone. I had to connect to the boot loader via serial to repair the damage. I hope your issue isnt the same.

Also try to go back to winmo and back. See if that helps.

Thanks ACL. We truly appreciate you and your time that you put into this project. I am really excited for some of the changes that are coming, and once things settle down a little bit, I will have a dump of information for you.

I am also getting some really good feedback from XDA as well. We have a lot of GSM users over there, and I'm finding out some more details about the rhod100 variants. A couple of them seem to have 0x13 for their panel instead of 0x14 like we do.

I'm also starting testing on a rootfs/NBH pair that would no longer require the use of force_cdma in tinboot (moved auto-detection into init). I love the machine_variant code that Wozzer added to NAND, and I really wish we could move it to Haret (I think it would help a ton!).

Finally, I'm waiting on the next deal from GoDaddy and will be purchasing a 1 year domain for this project. I'm thinking of rhodnand.com or something like that, and I'd like to put up a bug tracker along with a blog of some sort that I can track progress on. I already have hosting in place, and I think it would be helpful as we start refining things rather than simply trying to get them working

0x13? woa i knew they were weird.

We could always ask the htc-linux.org guys to give us a subdomain. Rhodnand.htc-linux.org doesnt sound bad to me.

Can those rhod100 guys get a dump of the panel init from haret? that woule help identify which one we need to use. Also the next release will support rhod100 panel, so they should no longer have issues.

A sub-domain would work, but if not, the GoDaddy deals are like $1.50. It's the hosting of full packages that I worry about (especially if we start moving more stuff to NAND).

As for the rhod100 guys, I do have a dump of the panel init stuff. You can check the thread over there, or I can post it here in a few hours once I get to the airport. Finally get to leave Alaska. Freaking -20 yesterday...
