Re: fifth of android apps expose private data

Article would be way cooler if they told us which apps can send the sms's and make calls...if they know a few of them, why not put em out on front street?

thanks op!

I'm sure facebook is one of them...

I'm afraid privacy is a thing of the past.

At least with android it is. The creepy warnings I get when installing stuff is why I may be giving Microsoft and Apple another look, something I didnt even consider just a couple weeks ago.........keyboard apps that could keep all the text I type, seriously? No thanks. A google ad I can handle, espionage I cannot.

At least we get warnings. If you aren't comfortable giving an app access to certain things, then don't install it.

+1 to this... I don't think Apple's AppStore gives you any kind of warnings, does it? I've never really used it hands on (just looking over someone's shoulder) but I don't recall seeing the kinds of warnings we get w/ the Androind Market...

And I know first hand Microsoft's WinMo Marketplace does NOT offer any kind of warning...

Re: fifth of android apps expose private data

I've noticed that and anything that says it will access my contacts, I don't add it because it is creepy. What are they doing with that information?
