Question Is it safe to flash from radio 3.42 to 3.37? Trying to enable GPS.

I am on Verizon network. I have Verizon Vogue XV6900.

Recently I flashed it with Verizon's leaked RUU_Vogue_VZW_WWE_3.14.605.1_Radio_3.37.77_Ship ROM, let customizations run.

Then to get better radio I reflashed it with Bell's RUU_Vogue_4350_BM_WWE_3.08.666.1_Radio3.42.50_Ship , didn't let customizations run.

Then flashed it with NFSFAN's Verizon Rom 1.12. Works awesome, but GPS doesn't work no matter what I try. I plan to use Tom Tom 7.

Thus I have radio 3.42.50

So I am trying to enable GPS now.

My plan is to downgrade radio from 3.42 to 3.37 by flashing leaked VZW ROM: RUU_Vogue_VZW_WWE_3.14.605.1_Radio_3.37.77_Ship and then flash custom GPS-enabled ROM, maybe that will enable my GPS functionality.

My question is:
can I flash RUU_Vogue_VZW_WWE_3.14.605.1_Radio_3.37.77_Ship again without bricking my phone? And maybe if I don't run customizations, then GPS will work after that?

Thank you in advance for any help.

There is no reason why you should change this

Re: Is it safe to flash from radio 3.42 to 3.37? Trying to enable GPS.

Thank you for your response. I figured out my problem with GPS. And you are right, there's no reason to downgrade the radio. My problem was in QPST. I changed all settings there, but didn't knew you have to click all checkboxes. They looked disabled (grayed out), so I never clicked them. Once I clicked enable, they all become enabled and I have GPS now.

Another nice finding was that you can install NFSFAN's 1.12 VZW ROM right on top of latest official VZW with radio 3.37.78! Works great and no reauthentication needed. Just initial programming.

And I actually downgraded my radio to 3.37.78. I used 0.40Coke, then flashed sprint rom with old radio 2.13, used 2.31Coke unlocker, flashed official VZW ROM, called *228 option 1 and finally flashed NFSFAN's 1.12 VZW.

Hopefully that info will be helpful to other guys from Verizon.
