Laggy Keyboard Fix

Sometimes on my touch pro keyboard i would have a slight bit of lag when inputting characters, after doing some research i found a few registry tweaks that have vastly improved my lag that i was experiencing.
Using a registry editor locate these and change the values accordingly,

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd

"InitialDelay"=dword: dec 125 (default value = 375)

"RepeatRate"=dword: dec 2 (default value - 8 )

Re: Laggy Keyboard Fix

Here is a link to where they probably found it. There is a .cab to do this for you.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=436795

It worked for me. Hopefully it works for you too.

I attached the .cab

Doesn't lower mean slower? When you type does it keep up or not? I thought higher means fast and I changed them to a higher number and when I type a lot it keeps up the whole time...

Re: Laggy Keyboard Fix

i experience no lag using the settings i have, but what i would presume is the lower the rate the faster the initial delay?, someone correct me if i am wrong.

Re: Laggy Keyboard Fix

Thanks for this. I changed mine to 50 instead of 125 though just to be on the safe side. So far it seems to be working quite nicely. I couldn't figure out why xda would raise the number instead of lower it.
