Re: Laggy Keyboard Fix

So is it general concensus that we should lower the value, not raise it??

Re: Laggy Keyboard Fix

lowering it improved it for me, the value is called Initial delay the lower the value would in my mind make more sense, but then again we are using Windows Mobile!!!,
either way test it out lower the value or raise the value whichever works best for your device, at the end of the day its about making our device perform to our personal taste!,

but i still stand by lowering the value.

Re: Laggy Keyboard Fix

This did improve the lag when typing messages. However, that lag isn't the initial lag that I experience. Most of my lag seems to be from the screen re-drawing to landscape when I flip the keyboard open. Often I can get 5-6 words typed before it catches up to me when sending a text message. Any idea how to improve this part of the keyboard lag? I adjusted the glyphcache, and it seemed to have no effect.

yeah this is also the type of lag I have. I flip out the keyboard, start typing but the words dont show until I have typed about 4 or 5 words.

Re: Laggy Keyboard Fix

Isn't this the initial delay -- before letters start repeating (At the repeat rate)?

Yes... I don't see how this could help any other kind of lag, except the lag between the time you hold the key and the time it starts repeating that key.
