Hurray! *I think*

Well,

I was a mogul user, now they just gave me a TP for free. I walked in like on Friday to receive my Mogul replacement. They gave me a refurb (of course) and I tested it out right there, and I found out that the Function LED will not light up. I handed it back to him and he gave me another Rerfurb, and I typed the qwerty test "The quick brown flox...." and noticed that I get duplicate letters, space bar didn't work. I gave it to the rep and told him to type that sentence just to show I'm not being picky or bull****'ing. He types and says..."What the hell?" gives that one back. Gives me a 'new' in the box Mogul. Everything seems right and fine... I walk out the store happy! Found out that my mogul goes to sleep but will never wake up on command after 3+ minutes of sleep. I miss calls and notifications...hassle.

Sooooo I take it back to them and my nerves are a lil shocked, cause within 1 day I cycled three phones and today I'm trying to duplicate my mogul's issue. I'm sitting there, talking to the guy, and I try duplicate it...but the Mogul actually wakes up... ERRR! I tried again....waited about 3 minutes....still wakes up... *#(@*& I looked at him and I said "I'm not CRAZY!" (LOL) explained how my boss and friends saw the issue.

The rep says: " Welp, I'll give it to the tech to see what they can do...." he tried to turn it on, and the problem duplicated...and I was like "SEEE! I told you I'm no crazy". So the time the techs took a look at it, I told him that I'm drawing the line with refurbs, because all they did is bring me to this one store with issues...and I said "Either give me a new phone, or you can pay for my ETF when I cancel my contract. The guy said okay, and 30 minutes later, he gives me a Touch Pro. I'm like...okay... Cause originally I was waiting for him to give me a Mogul new out of the box, but apparently they were back ordered on the new ones... and said "To minimize the time to get you a phone, we're going to replace it with a new phone....have you heard of the 'Touch Pro' ?" I'm like....."ya...I heard of it..." lol

It wasn't my intention to really get a free TOuch pro, I was actually pretty happy with my Mogul, but I did not-not accepted the phone and i'm pretty impressed with it.

So anyways, that's my adventure and now I'm on the TP forums looking around to see what I need for top apps to put on my new TP phone. I hope you enjoyed that story

yeah, sprint seems to be pretty awesome with things like this lately... i guess they got *****slapped in the customer service department since dan took over. they're just giving things away left and right it seems. the only problem is that its very hit and miss... some people get the deals, others get raped. i guess its better than everybody getting raped though

Congrats on what happened... That is nice you fell backwards into a Touch Pro.. That ETF line is a stunner... It's amazing it works so effectively... Well.. Enjoy your Touch Pro! You will find you will enjoy it immensely...

I'm with Verizon (yes they suck I know) and went round and round with them over my Titan and it's stupid little issues. Clear back in January it started with the little white spot problem. Well refurb after refurb I kept getting my little white spot. They argued with me saying it's not big deal. Ya it's really not but it tends to piss a person off who had spent almost $500 on buying the POS. Come the end of November and the TP. I thought ...hmmmmmmm.....My latest Titan aquired the white spot once again. So I place a call, told them the can stick the Titan up their anus, I want a TP. At first I heard the "I can't do that". So I simply asked for a supervisor. She turned out to be a pissy mooded woman which kinda excited me since I'd been totally irritated with VZW. We went a few rounds until I finally threw out the " I've been with your sorry a** company for too many years to deal with this kind of sh*t. You can either give me a TP or I'm going to Sprint. Actually I think I'm going to anyway because once again VZW has f'd up an awesome phone ." It went silent for about 5 or so seconds and she said it would be on it's way.

Funny thing is..... I'm going to Sprint in Feb anyway

Congrats bro! I have a friend who manages a sprint store and he'll always help me out, especially when i've had multiple issues with a refurb... I just got my touch pro yesterday for the Diamond discount price and lemme say, this is a great phone and YOU SIR got a GREAT DEAL! LOL

battery life stinks, but juggalos ROM fixed that for me (not sure if you flash roms, but eh)

COOL! Thanks for the replies you guys, any cool apps that I should be aware of? I'm playing around with the klox program that snoozes when you shake it. HAHA I LOVE IT!!! This is my first accelerometer based phone. I tried the GSen, but found out later that it doesn't work

.... Does anybody know if the Hologram VR works?

yea i had the same issues with my mogul and i was fed up because i had to wait in the store from 630pm to 11pm (the mall cloess at 930 btw) just for them to exchange my phone. To make matters worst the phone i recieved had more issues than my previous phone and i was on my 5th refurbished phone. A while i ended up having to wait for the touch pro to come out and i ended up getting it for $5

Any Touch Pro specific apps? I can't think of much.. I love Kinoma.. You can go here to check it out..

As for mods, tweaks, and such... Of course, This is basically the granddaddy of all Touch Pro threads... It is a great starting point for new Touch Pro users... You might really want to check this thread out.. It is for some pretty slick custom icons... Also, go here for a great read on customizing Touch Flo...

That's about the same way I got my Touch Pro for free. I went through about 5 or 6 refurbs, almost all with hard keyboar issues before they finally gave me a new Mogul in the box. Once it starting acting fritzy, I contacted e-care and they set me up with a free TP when they were first released.
