Re: Sprint TP2 Poor Battery Life

Have you taken a look at the Cleanup cab? I ran just the update one (not the one from a Hard Reset) and was amazed at the amount of memory freed up. GoodThingsToLife did some great work.

Re: Sprint TP2 Poor Battery Life

There is something drastically wrong if the battery is 1/2 dead in one hour of use.

Did you try hard resetting the system??

Re: Sprint TP2 Poor Battery Life

I pull the battery out and reset the phone. It didnt work . I did some research today then I saw my email setup which checks my 3 different email account every 15 min, 30 min and 45 min. I went to the setting and put it once a day. So now I dont know wht will happen next.
No I didnt install anything. I am going to do with my phone until the WM 6.5 comes out.
I didn't install any gps prog. S2U2 .. its all factory..
Now I didnt do clean cab. I dont know what exactly will do that. I might try it couple of days later to see what happen next after I changed the setting..

I didn't explain too clearly but the cleanup cab sets things to specifically optimize battery life. Since I am new to winmo I found it very helpful.

Does S2U2 have an adverse effect on battery?

Re: Sprint TP2 Poor Battery Life

My touch pro 2 battery life is easily doubled my touch pro's. Plus the TP2 is stock! If your battery is like that then I'd take it to sprint and get another battery.

That is one of the main complaints about s2u2.

When I swapped from s2u2 to Pocketshield by battery life noticeably increased.

Re: Sprint TP2 Poor Battery Life

yes S2U2 has a effect on your battery if your setting aren't set right to prevent battery loss.

there have been a few cases when the battery that was sent with your phone was not a good battery to begin with. i would suggest that you take your phone back your cell phone provider and let them know your battery is draining way to quickly and they should replace it.

Have you disabled HTC's "Push Internet"? If it's polling and you are in a crappy coverage area or deep in the bowels of a corporate prairie dog farm, that might do it... as would any other app running in the background that needs to periodically hit the internet for updates (stocks, weather, etc.)
