Re: tp2 still have the blurry camera!...tweak helped alot
Hey man, sorry I can't answer your question but, can you link me to that camera tweak that you're talking about... I searched the "tweak/Hacks" sticky and nothing came up. Thanks!

Please explain blurry camera.....
Just the pics you take, or all the photos in the albums? |

Re: tp2 still have the blurry camera!...tweak helped alot
blurry pics are caused by camera movement & no tweak will cure that.
The TP cameras have always been incredibly hard to take a decent pic with as they take SO DAMN LONG to auto-focus & actually snap a shot that it is virtually impossible to never move during the process (or get your 6 year old daughter to sit still that long). If you're out in the bright sun, the TP camera is not half bad. Try it in low light & you might as well forget it. I was a pro photographer doing studio work for 10 years at one point, & even I have problems trying to take a decent low light shot with this POS. ~John |

the only tweak ive seen in the sticky section is to add all camera modes... and that does nothing to make shots less blurry... it just adds special modes that are disabled by default.

This was very successful with the Diamond and my Touch Pro and I've tried it out on my TP2, seems to work fairly well. Of course, holding a very large torch seems to REALLY help the camera out. Nonetheless, this is most likely what you're looking for. Before you ask, scroll down and r-e-a-d.

Re: tp2 still have the blurry camera!...tweak helped alot
Anyone expecting ANY phone camera, with a little tiny glass (or plastic) lens, to equal a real camera's resolution with a quarter of the megapixels will be sadly disappointed. Increases in MP's in these things beyond the TP's will likely just waste memory, and make the blurrieness clearer (get it?). My 10-year old Kodak DC260 with 1MP with a real lens system takes dramatically better pictures.
And the "auto-focus" - come on, there is no real auto-focus (just a sales gimmick, except for the Business Card Reader, IMO), it's mostly a software algorythem (sic?) that attempts to interpret what it should see. There is little they can do to make you get a photo you can make a decent 8.5x11 out of, much less a poster, which a REAL 3 MP camera could easily do. Again, just my opinion |
