Why does my TP2 keep asking if I want to "Format my SD Card" everytime I power it on?

I am brand new to this forum, so plz forgive my ignorance. I've browsed through here several times but haven't ran into any answers for this problem I'm having. Here goes:

I have brand new Sprint Touch Pro 2 with v6.5, flashed to work with Boost. All features work good other than hanging up & being as cantankerous as my PC. I went to the Sprint store a few days ago & got them to copy my contacts from my blackberry to tp2, as well as transfer my micro sd card into the new phone. For a while, I could find my pics on that card easily. Now they're gone.

Here's what I remember happening. I went into the Windows Marketplace & browsed the apps. I chose to download two free ones, Shazam & Desktop Customizer. When prompted, I chose to store them on the card, instead of the phone because of space concerns.

When I looked through my apps, I saw the two new ones but they didn't have good icons showing for them. Rather, they looked like they weren't installed correctly & I was right. So I uninstalled them & did a soft reset.

Every since then, when I power the phone off & back on, I get this question, "Do you want to format this storage card to make it readable? This will permanently delete any files on the card."

Well of course I chose "no," over and over again. But then I realized that my pictures were no longer showing up on the SD card's drive. So I tried to view them with my computer & "NOPE," not there anymore. After that, I went ahead & clicked "yes" the next time it asked to format it, to which it responded, "This storage card has been successfully formatted."

Problem is, I can't use the card and I still get the question every single time I turn the phone on. Will someone please tell me what has happened or what I can do to make a storage card work the way it's supposed to in here? I would greatly, greatly appreciate it!!!! Thank you, Liddy!

it sounds like your storage card is corrupted. have you tried to put the card in a computer? if it works in a computer, copy all files, format the card, then add everything back to the card. hope that helps.

Yeah like puff said, take your card out of your device and put it in a SD Adapter and plug it into a PC or Laptop in an sd slot and see if you can read the data on it if there is any data left.

Then transfer any files to your pc. Then format your card fat32. Then put any data back on it if you have any and then put it back in your device.

I have tried reading the card with my laptop & PC without any success. So basically, are you saying that if I get a new card that it should work? These phones aren't known to corrupt the cards, are they? Because it worked perfectly fine the first few days it was in there until I downloaded apps onto it. Am I doing something wrong there?

hmm... if the computer wont read it, the only option left is to go ahead and try to format the card and see if works then. my 8gb did that when i first got it and formatting the card did the trick

No, you probably don't need a new card. You just need to format it like puff and I said.
One of the apps you downloaded may have caused your issues. It's hard to say. If you format it you should be good to go.

I have formatted since then, sorry, forgot to say that. I still can't seem to use it. Apparently it became corrupted. Uggghhhh!
