Sprint claims that you need to turn off your phone at least once a day so the software can reset and sync the towers.. (I call that a bunch of poop).. I don't have a problem with my phone and I never turn it off.. Running WM6 Helmi c rom.

I soft reset sometimes but I never turn it OFF unless I'm going to turn it back on immediately after.

I always try to drain my battery 100% and charge 100% if I can, on all my phones, but as soon as it dies, its right on the charger.

I turn mine off every night. There's no cellular service at all at my house, so phones spend all their time searching for a signal and draining their batteries. The battery will last for days if I turn it off at night, or about 18 hours if I don't. Yes, I could plug it in to synch and charge all night, but I prefer to keep charge cycles to a minimum. I end up having to soft reset when the phone freezes once or twice a day anyway, so figure doing a power cycle can't hurt.

I never turn mine off. Can't go without contact, and no reason to turn it off.

Never, but I guess I'm just used to the 6700 which Doesn't turn off unless you remove the battery.

I was actually pleasantly surprised when I found out the off button actually worked on the 6800

Sometimes on an airplane. Have never seen any impact - either positive or negative.
