Ev-do, 3g,... And 3.5g??? I Heard It Was Fast...

i was runnin around the internet in my class... and i just wondered which internet had the fastest network... i have sprint, and i heard on the grapevine that sprint had the fastest network... then i heard that AT&t had the fastest... then i heard some stuf called Fildo...

but you know how people are... they say that their phone has the best network because THEY picked the best phone... just like they think they should have the smartest kid cuz its THEIR kid... lol...

but i just wanted to get some folks' opinion who have had more than one company for the last 6 years...

i also wanted to know if anyone has heard about this new 3.5g network... i read on the internet that it was gonna be availible to at&t, and its supposed to be as fast as a home internet connection... put ya input in... or input your put ins... lol..

I know on the jp HTC site they have phones that are 3.5g compatible. However i am not sure about the speeds. If you wants information like that, the speeds should be advertised some where.

From what I've heard and seen, Sprint's network average speeds are higher than AT&T's...

EVDO = 700 kps, EDGE = 200 kps.
right now sprint & verizon's EVDO is the fastest, plus EVDO REV A is avail in a lot a areas now and it doubles the EVDO speeds. Sorry ATT and Cingular are a lot slower. Sprint has the best deals (at least right now - it changes often) when it comes to $ if you plan to use it a lot.

They are starting to roll out WiMax in my city and some others. I don't have any devices for it but I hope to have it integrated when I get a new phone in a year or two.

Here's my results for Bell. I am tethered to my laptop, and about 1 hour south of Grande Prairie, AB, in the middle of the woods here. I'm pretty happy with the results, I think.
