Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23081/21864) |Nov5| Manila 2.1 and 2.5

I haven't done anything special on sprint to get my location working, other then clicking on Update, and hasn't ever not worked yet so far.

I wondered also about the favorite's on the homepage. There's more then six, but you can't scroll past the 1st 2 rows. I have, and confirmed you CAN actually set more then on the view.. I used my stylus (never use it normally) and JUST barely hit above the slider, but still on the tip of the 3rd row you can't scroll to, and it brough up the window and i selected one to assign, so it's physically there past 2 rows, i think it's a limitation still with the VGA porting. Not a big deal, but would be nice to get fixed since we don't have our loving PROGRAMS Tab.

Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23081/21864) |Nov5| Manila 2.1 and 2.5

I am pretty sure something made my device lose ALL provisioning now.
My calling feature crapped also but has since came back.
Data connections are still gone.
Waiting for the server to restore it.
If not I may be making a trip to Sprint tomorrow.

Flashed back to stock for now.

Pretty sure I can fix it but not 100% sure what caused it.
Data started acting odd and then POOF!

So far the 6.5.1 has been working very well. I searched and loaded a "hide slider" but did not work. Is there a cab for this? I think a slider hider would be great for this rom.

Dude that sux!

OK, been testing messaging by sending SMS and MMS to myself but no go. Then I realized the system trying to send and recieve at the same time could be messing things up so I used Facebook as my recipient (the few friends I have outside this community are sleeping ) and BINGO updated my status via SMS and sent a pic via MMS. Awesome 23081 so far.

Edit:For MMS I've done the removal cab, SR, Arcsoft 5.0.82.79, SR. Still testing, not convinced of its reliability.

Edit2:Switched to latest (that I know of-5.2.1.22) Arcsoft to see if it makes a difference when receiving pics. When I select a new MMS in TouchFlo it collapses and gets deleted. Work around is to not touch it and go to MS Messsages when you know you have a MMS to read. Did this and it appears to work.

Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23081/21864) |Nov5| Manila 2.1 and 2.5

you know? I just gotta say it. Many people, includiiing NRG warned over and over that 2.5 would not port correctly. Some even warned that flashing the 2.5 rom onto the cdma tp might even fry the internals of the phone. Now people are mad it seems because they are finding it to be true. You ask for it, now you got it....

Enjoy the rewards along with the consequences.

Re: |H|ROM|6.5.1|WWE| ** EnergyROM 'Photon' (23081/21864) |Nov5| Manila 2.1 and 2.5

So far, my impression of 23081 Manila 2.5 R2 is that it's a very slick, capable build, with *tons* of potential. It seems to be riddled with a few bugs, but that's to be expected given the beta status of the port. Couple things..

1) There seems to be limited landscape support for some Manila items - Message tab, Dialer

2) When trying to launch Opera 9.7 from the Internet folder, the splash screen comes up - but that's it. Task Manager doesn't show the program running in the background, and after returning to the Home screen, the Opera splash screen has disappeared. Odd.

3) Seem to be random lock-ups, some of them can be recreated, others not so much.

And yes, I did do the flash dance - this time.
