I would also like these features to work when the user turns off the screen and when the device auto-sleeps - though I haven't played around to see if the two are actually different.
You may want to take a look at this code at CodeProject. I was doing some reading about power states on Windows Mobile and found this information quite interesting.

Re: PokerChrono Poker Tournament Timer

Thanks for that link! I've been reading a lot of articles, but that one looks pretty useful. It fills in a lot of blanks.

I ended up working really long hours on Monday and Tuesday. And I'm on my way out the door now. I'm going to try to do some work on it on Friday though. What time do you leave for your tournament?

Re: PokerChrono Poker Tournament Timer

Glad you found that link usefull. It did seem like there was some good info there.

I will be leaving my house at around 4 MST to head off to the tourney. So if you have anything before then I'll be able to load it up and try it. But no pressure. Just wanted to let you know that I could try out new code for you not that I need new code from you!

Thanks...

Re: PokerChrono Poker Tournament Timer

So went and played Friday night... Didn't cash, but that’s a different story.

Unfortunately I couldn't use PokerChrono because when I got there they wanted a different blind structure than the 3 I had saved. Since I couldn't easily/quickly change the blind schedule through the app I loaded up a different timer that I could change blind schedules in.

Even though I didn't use your app this time, I did learn some things:
1) Need to be able to edit blind schedule from the app quickly.
2) If the phone turns off, need to have the timer to continue running (this is the power functions you are working on now). I would have it at least default to dimming the screen after a few seconds of inactivity.
3) Need to show what the next round blinds will be. I was always asked what is next.

Nice to haves:
1) Nice to have the ability to change a round's blind on the fly when that round starts.
2) Nice to be able to skip to the round even though a round is underway (wanted to do this at the losers table to speed up the game when the winners table finally finished).
3) Nice to have the ability to have a second timer / blind schedule running for the "losers" table. (VERY low priority if you ever even think of adding this)

Thanks again!
