I must have done something wrong. The keyboard takes up the whole screen and i can only see aportion of the keyboard. what am i doing wrong

Did you by chance install the VGA version on a QVGA device?

i have an xv6700. but i installed the VGA then removed the program and added the QVGA and same issue

I cant see the screen unless it is something on the top of the screen like emails or web addresses. I cant see it at all if it is a text message. Also, how do i get it to predict ? the buttons seem to get jammed if i do anything but precise input in the options menu. Which means i have to input the letters one at a time. The fringe letters on the edges of the screen are kinda tough to get to as well. If i ask it to not be precise, the minute i push one letter it shows itself as held down and it doesnt seem to respond after that ? I am pretty sure my phone is not freezing.
