yeah i've been running sipchange since installing but this issue has only happened maybe twice.

Running SIPChange too. I think it's a SIPChange problem.
Anybody also notice that it resets to defaults after a soft reset?
Anybody made this a kitchen OEM? (hint?)

The whole purpose of SIPChange is that the keyboard gets changed to Touchpal, in this case, after a soft reset. I have not had it reset to the default keyboard after a soft reset because SIPChange runs after each soft reset and changes the keyboard to Touchpal.

I would recommend maybe changing the time SIPChange waits to run after a soft reset and make it wait a little longer to avoid any possible crashes or so that the device does not get overwhelmed.

I must be dense or something because I can't get this thing to type right. I try typing "This is a test" and I get "this_is tetanus". How long before you all typed fast on this kb?

Couple hints. type over the letter you're trying to get. it seems to pick the right one more often that way and keep an eye out on the text box leftmost, it is the letters selected. I figured it out with a set number of words totalling 100 letters and spaces. with a standard desktop KB, I get 40-50 wpm. With TouchPal, about 210 wpm. It gets better as it goes as I add to it's dictionary. I'm lovin' it!

Agreed, this keyboard is very, very cool.

The only gripe I have is when I want to select a specific letter and it's one of the letters close to the borders (letter 'a' for example), it gets a little difficult as my finger hits the edge of the device before switching to the letter.

I guess I need more practice

Check their forum, link is on the touchpal website. They are very interested in our suggestions, comments and gripes. I believe they're using the free version as a beta, with user feedback to be incorporated in the pay release/upgrade.

I can get it to type but how do you see what you are typing if it covers that portion of the screen, like for example, text messages. Thanks
