I think these two Registry changes in the _setup.xml does the trick.

thanks for the feedback. by chance was the data connection on when it ran? otherwise it's just a difference with the rom on tp2.
the latest tp1 rom is actually newer than the current tp2 rom and those regs don't work for us. I was thinking I should probably add those regs anyway to cover all the bases.
